The most expensive thing you bought this year?

I bought a gaming chair for 300 bucks. The old one I have aptly broken, and it was expensive, about 1,000 bucks. Because of this, I was afraid to buy a cheap chair, because I thought it would be terrible. I had nothing to do, because I didn't have much money then I bought it. But I was wrong. Here is a photo of this wonderful chair.gt-racing-gaming-chair-gt-racing-gaming-chair-gtracing-high-back-gaming-chair-review.jpg.6d0c5341ffa0edf4687625f3de49bc5a.jpg

Check if your insurance plan has a drug deductible. If it doesn't, find one that does. If it has one that's too high, get a lower drug deductible or look at some drug savings plans.

My current insurance doesn't have a deductible for medical care or the pharmacy. This particular medication they only cover 50% of the cost for however, which seemed to be the same for most health insurance policies I checked concerning tier 7 medications unfortunately.

My medicine, it costs $6,300 but and my insurance only covers half of it. Thankfully I was almost at my out of pocket maximum for the year so it only ended up costing ~$600 and will be free each month for the rest of the year.

Hey, I understand where you are coming from. One of my meds are around $24,000 a month (Cystic Fibrosis is expensive). I have to pay 100% up to my deductible but then they pay 100% of everything else. (as long as I use the, in network, specialty pharmacy they specify).

That sucks. Have you checked to see what international pricing of the drug is? I wish I could help, but insurance companies [in the US] use their own drug tiers.

So far I spent $400 on a phone for a friend. Though, collectively, I'd says McDonald's meals.

I might buy a car before years end, so I suppose that'd be the biggest expense. We'll see though.

I've done more selling of personal items than buying this year.

I finally paid off my truck this year, so if you wanna call that my biggest payment.  (But I've been making payments for a couple years).  Otherwise, the biggest purchase this year would maybe be my PC or my phone.  Granted my phone is on the AT&T Next plan, so obviously not paying it all out of pocket at once.

Currently focusing on my video game collection.

It doesn't matter what you play games on, just play good games you enjoy.

Not one single part, but collectively I have spent $3,600 building my forged engine for my turbo Miata in the past couple months.

The most expensive single part for it was the harmonic damper, surprisingly, at $526. A close second is the piston set at $474.

Still another $12,200 to go before it makes 400hp!

My 335i xDrive M-Sport. That is, by at least an order of magnitude, the most expensive thing I have ever bought. Nothing else even comes close.

The runners up this year are my Danner Quarries and my LAMY 2000 EF.
