It's almost as if making a majority of the economy run on a single network is a bad idea, and we need to smash monopolies and encourage redundant infrastructure.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

You should notice that website loading is slower.

Doubt it, Aus based cache servers and CDNs will take care of it so unless those are effected then we wouldn't noticed anything as we're not in the affected regions.

Maybe it could be someone, some group, some state, testing an internet kill switch.

Do we know what the cause was?

An intern tried plugging a 295x2 into a wall plug. It diverted power to its circuit and rendered all other wings deficient. We're happy to report that the 295x2 and the intern are both fine, but the intern did suffer a few 220v shocks.

This is why you don't get something that requires internet to even do it's basic feature.

It was only 95% down if you used Google DNS, if you used Cloudflare or any other non google DNS anything non google hosted would work.

A lot of stuff uses Google DNS though.

Including nest (with no backup plan). Incredible decision right there.

That was a pretty big exaggeration, but 50%+ is pretty good estimate.

I should have worded that differently.  95% of websites.  Oh well, too late to edit it now.

Yah discord went down at an extremely bad time, and then my cell provider died a bit after it came back making things even worse for me -_-

Well at least I sorted it out in the end

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
