It's an Abit NF7 2.0 running an XP-M 3000+ on DICE and the card is a PCI slot ATI 9200.
Speaking of the XP-M, not the best chip I've got but it's a rarity being what it is and was trying it out with this.

I still have my Abit IN9-32X MAX WIFI and it works, neat board but drivers for anything past Windows 7 don't exist and even those were harder to find once Abit went under.

I guess since first gen Core i stuff is now being considered old...

I've been working on my friends mother's PC for a bit here. It's a MSI H55M-E23 board (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/H55ME23/Specification) with an i3 550 that I upgraded to an i5 750 with 4GB of DDR3 that's going to get upgraded to 8GB with a GT 640 that's not getting upgraded with a WD 500GB hard drive. It's actually much improved with the i5 750 over the i3 550, 4 real cores and being able to turbo upto 3.2ghz is a big help, it'll be even better with 8GB RAM too. The reason I have it to work on was to clean it out and upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The MSI motherboard SHOWS an adjustment for baseclock but it's grayed out which is a total bummer, I was really hoping to add a little extra jazz to this thing with a few hundred more Mhz. Oh well.

While we're on the subject of first gen Core i parts...My Xeon X3470 system with water cooling got me thinking some, is the X3470 solder or TIM? I was seeing terrible temps on it and figured the water block wasn't keeping up or something but I'm not sure that's the case. Found some people delidding i5 750's and i7 860's that were TIM, some people say the Xeons were all soldered, some people delidded their Xeons and went direct die and got massive temp drops. Any suggestions? X3470, solder, TIM, delid or not, direct die maybe?

Well I've been playing around on my old Compaq and I found something interesting on eBay.  A SuperDisk Drive.  I had to have one.

But then I ran into a problem.  How do I write these disks with my Desktop?  Guess I'll have to buy another. And this one new in box!  Of course even after I added a PCIe Parallel port I still couldn't get the damn thing to chooch in Windows 10.  But if I pass that parallel port through to a VM running Win98 it works a treat!  Now I can use my awesome Floppy Disk Drives with Frickin' LASER BEAMS!
