  1. I use Telenor in Bulgaria. The current mobile plan I have is for about 21BGN (~ $13 USD) per month. I get 10 000 MB mobile data and I don't remember how much free call minutes and SMS, but more than I can use, that's for sure. Sadly the new plans are much worse than my current one, will keep this as long as possible.
  2. My main PC I installed Windows 7 Pro SP1 when I bought it and I've been using it ever since. Copied OS from HDD to SSD in 2018 and that's it. I haven't changed the motherboard, just CPU, RAM, GPU, HDD/SSD, case, PSU and that's basically it. It's 9 years old at this point. Also I'm using Windows XP Zune theme since 2013, that's why it looks like this.
  3. I kinda care how the case of the PC looks, but the inside I don't see, so I don't particularly care. My PCs sit on the ground, no space for them on desks.
  4. It is a thing actually. Very rare I believe, but it exists. Example: That is the only video I've seen with such quality and it doesn't even run on my PCs.
  5. I can't remember exactly when, but I installed different OSes from CD or DVD in 2020, so I guess a few months ago.
  6. This reminded me of something. This is from Facebook trying to join a group call using Firefox. They translated only Windows.... Out of all the words used here, they translated the one that should not be translated, at least it's funny. In Bulgarian "windows" is translated as "прозорци", the word, not the OS of course.
  7. @birdhumanWell... I don't think this laptop is old, but I also have two HP EliteBook 8470p, which are quite similar, but with 14" screens. This "mini PCIE has an adapter to switch to a M.2 slot but 2230 standard" I find interesting. My laptops have two mini PCIe slots, one for the smaller cards and one for the bigger, so I have one free slot (might be something interesting to try out). Both my laptops have SSDs in them instead of the HDD, but I've kept the DVD drives since I use them more than I would use the extra space replacing them with HDDs (full specs of both in my signature), but I don'
  8. Just checked - when I'm using English the ,< and >. keys are like you said (thanks for the info). When typing in Bulgarian the keys that are , and . in that layout work. In my case that is the Q key for , and the =+ key for . . I don't think the < and > even exist in the Bulgarian layout. I'm using the standart 'BDS' (БДС), the 'Phonetic' layout is different and I do not use it, so cannot comment for it.
  9. I either use the spacebar or just left-click with the mouse somewhere in the video player. Depends which is easier, for example if my hand is on the mouse I use it, if I'm far from the mouse spacebar is easier to hit. I actually just learnt that that is a thing. I mean I use J,K,L when editing videos in Sony Vegas, but until now never knew it works on YouTube as well.
  10. As far as I can remember my first memories with PCs are from our first family computer - eMachines eTower 466i with Windows 98SE. I used to play a lot of 'Tank Racer', but also there was some program my parents had installed from a CD that came with a PC magazine, the program was 'Drawing for children' and I used to play around a lot with it as well. The most notable upgrade I struggle to decide between going from the family computer with AMD Sempron 2500+ 1.75GHz, 1GB DDR1, AMD Radeon 9550 128MB, 80GB IDE HDD and Windows XP Pro SP3 to my first own computer, a pre-built Acer Aspire M1930
  11. It's almost 5 pm where I'm at.
  12. What? i3-2100 is Sandy Bridge. And 4GB RAM could be plenty depending on what the PC is being used for.
  13. @CT854@KatanaDV20I used to use Chrome only years ago, but had some issues with some websites, so started using Opera, then had issues with it as well, so now I mainly use Firefox on my main PC. There are still some websites that work well only on one browser for me, though that's rare, but I still have them as backup (sometimes one website stops working one one browser and only works on a different one, the next day everything is fine). Also I have Chrome on both my main PC and my laptop I use for university and are synced. Firefox I use on my main PC. That's the reason for the split - don't h
  14. @KatanaDV20 Well... I'm gulty of this as well. For me the reason is that I use different browsers for different purposes, just easier to separate for example university and personal stuff. Though I usually don't have more than two browsers open at the same time. Currently tiping this in Firefox and have an online lecture running in Chrome.
  15. Well, on my phones I have auto correct, but it only suggests words does not replace words on it's own, I've disabled that. I've been using SwiftKey keyboard for years now, it learns pretty well in my experience.
  16. Currently I'm in an online lecture, so can't say how much RAM is used when nothing is open. But now with AIMP playing music, a couple of tabs open in Firefox and a couple in Chrome the RAM usage is sitting at 4.66GB out of 16GB total. When I finish the lecture, I'll edit this post to add RAM usage with no programs. What I'm sure that at desktop with no programs open the VRAM usage is 8MB out of 4GB, not that anyone has asked that... EDIT: No programs open → 2.24GB out of 16GB RAM used
  17. I have set-up something similar, except that mine has a Asus M2N motherboard, AMD Athlon64 x2 4600+ 2.4GHz, 4GB DDR2 800MHz RAM single stick (used to have 2+2x1+4 sticks, so total 8GB, but had some issues with that setup, works fine now) and a nVidia GeForce 9500GT 1GB since no integrated GPU. Though I have another Asus M4N68T motherboard that basically has the same features, but a AMD Phenom II x4 B40 and uses DDR3 RAM (I got from a friend when we upgraded his PC). Was thinking to swap the Athlon64 x2 to the Phenom II x4, but I have no practical reason to, I'll find a beter use for the Phenom
  18. Wait 3G is obsolete? Where is that? I'm in Bulgaria and here there is everything from 2G up to 5G and it works. There are regions where the best connection you can get is 2G, some places you get 3G, most places have 4G and I have no idea about 5G since I have nothing supporting it, but it does exist.
  19. I use NoxPlayer to run android apps on Windows. Runs pretty well even on my laptops (HP EliteBook 8470p, specs in sig).
  20. Wait, is that an eMachines eTower 433i? I have an eMachines eTower 466i and it looks basically the same on the inside. Mine has a Intel Celeron 466MHz and on your picture I see Intel Celeron 433MHz, that's why I'm guessing yours is a 433i model. This picture is of mine, but it's from some time ago. The GPU in the PCI slot I took out because it caused problems, currently using the integrated GPU. I believe I have almost the same PC judjing by the pictures. Mine can actually still be used even for Internet browsing. It's very slow and most websites aither do not work or load
  21. My main PCs motherboard had the same problem - I put a new cooler that had a 3pin fan of it. Whatever I did I could not make it change rpm. Eventually I just replaced the fan with a 4pin one and had no issues. Though I'm using a motherboard from a pre-built PC and it has quite limited options in BIOS.
  22. My main PC I bought brand new in May 2012 as a pre-built Acer Aspire M1930 with Intel Celeron G530 2.4GHz, 4GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM, AMD Radeon HD7470 4GB and 1TB Seagate HDD. Over the years I've upgraded it (last upgrade was adding an SSD in September 2018, that SSD I bought in November 2016 and used in two laptops before putting in here). All of the original hardware I still have - the motherboard, CPU cooler, two SATA cables and DVD drive are still in my main PC, while the case and RAM are in my secondary PC (which currently does not work, haven't had time to troubleshoot it yet). The HDD I use
  23. I have an HP Pavilion ZD8000 which has a LGA775 Pentium 4 3.2GHz with 89W TDP. Has quite a big heatsink, but it's actually surpisingly quiet. With Windows XP and the newest version of Mozilla Firefox that runs on it, I have no problems with browsing the Internet. I think I've posted pictures of it earlier in this thread, so I'm not posting again (will repost them, if someone wants and can't find the old post). The problem of mine is that it needs a new screen, haven't bothered to find one and sadly the one I have does not work in this laptop (the laptop has a 1440x900 screen, I have a spare 16
  24. @ragnarok0273Thanks. Didn't know there were such boards (floppy to USB). I'll keep the note in mind if/when I buy one (have to find a way to buy one in Bulgaria). I have a SATA DVD RW drive in my PC so no problem with that. And you saying it's just PCIe 2.0 x1 and 500MB/s not being full SATA speed.... well... my PC has only PCIe 2.0 and SATA 2... I guess my hardware is getting old, I mean I bought this PC in May 2012, almost 9 years old now, a few more years and it'll be suitable for this thread.
  25. Does the floppy drive work? How have you connected it? I've wanted to put a floppy drive in my PC for a few years now, but my motherboard does not have a floppy controller. I have the drive, though. It's even black like my case.
