Announcing new combined topic for F@H. Official LTT F@H FAQ & Guide coming soon is Here!!

In a best effort to centralize and tidy the Subforum a bit, several pinned F@H topics will be combined and updated.

Disclaimer: This will be a work overtime for me (@SansVarnic) to fully update this topic with current information, but I am combining the following topics so don't be surprised if some information is still old.

  • "Folding@Home Install Guide and Links - LinusTechTips_Team - 223518" by @Whaler_99
  • "GPU Folding Facts and Fiction - Configuration and Settings" by @Whaler_99
  • "For Folding Users - Tips, Tricks and FAQ - Updated July 2016" by @Whaler_99
  • "F@H Web Client Dark Skin with PPD comparison by GPU / WU" by @LAR_Systems

The new topic will be up and running as soon as I can get it done. Hopefully not too long.

I apologize if there is any inconvenience to anyone wanting to post or ask questions.

This topic will be a locked topic and updated on an 'as needed' basis. Any updates, changes, suggestions, and such can be sent to me by PM and I will incorporate them as time allows.

I encourage you all to utilize the Community Board for future posting and create new topics for specific questions that need it.

Thanks to you All for your patience.

Thanks! I could get it to work on that particular page just not the "donor" page. But with statsbeta... it finally works. Thanks!

P.S. I think they should really have a "Top 5k Ranked Donor" label personally 😄

I could... since I have 6 GPU's in 1 system, and two are currently under water.

Seems that the new F@H profile page is literally completely blank for me, so I'll keep with the extreme overclocking one for now. According to that, I've just broken into top 7000 in the world, and top 650 in the LTT group. Still chugging up the ranks rather quickly. Last milestone was the first of the month with just breaking into to top 10k in the world, so atm I'm going about 1000 ranks a week 😄 I'm certain that will slow though. Hoping to break into the top 5,000 in May.

I stopped folding for a while after my lappy died thanks to a power surge that struck whilst it was bravely crunching a work unit(RIP).

Now, COVID cases have touched a global all time high here in India, and I've just got out of a toxic relationship that was grinding me to the ground. What better time than now to give back to the world & humanity, to resume folding again? I've put 2 devices, my 1060 and Surface Pro 2, on Folding@home. Phones on DreamLab, and if I have any unutilized CPU power, that'll go to BOINC.

Desktop 1 : Ryzen 5 3600 (O/C to 4Ghz all-core) | Gigabyte B450M-DS3H | 24GB DDR4-2400 Crucial(O/C to 2667) | GALAX RTX 2060 6GB | CoolerMaster MWE 650 Gold

Desktop 2 : i5 10400 | 32GB DDR4-3200(@ 2667Mhz) |  EVGA GTX 1070 SC 8 GB | Corsair CV450M

Laptop : ASUS ROG Strix G17 : i7-10750H, 16GB RAM, GTX 1660Ti 6GB(90W), 1TB NVMe SSD

Noticed your output has been down for a few days and assumed you either were down for maintenance or had gone to the dark side and scalped most of your GPUs 😃

Im rather a fan of Noctuas.  I find the Redux 1700s have a little more oomph but just ordered a set of 3 NF-A12 iPPC 2000 PWMs to fix the airflow in one system (who said putting a 3950x, 2070s and 1070ti in a Define C might be thermally challenging)

Just be glad you’ve gotten your second shot. The vaccine roll-out here is so messed up.  I’m now in the 60+ age group and won’t be getting my shot until mid next week thanks to the initial scheduling here being borked.  My wife, in her 40s is getting hers two days before me just by calling up as have several of her friends. At least the roll out is happening.

And that is all fine. But let's not allow ourselves to interfere / derail with this thread due to it.

You are a mad mad builder.

I’m hoping those are NF-A12 iPPC 2000s and not 3000s as with that much area to dissipate heat they should be running fairly slow even with that CPU which likely makes my 9900k look like a coffee cup warmer rather than the toaster it is on my poor little 280 CLC.

I suspect the question is not “what are your load temperatures” but “how many degrees above ambient are the loops”
