Nope, unobtainium.

Gamers Nexus or Jayz2cents was discussing this a few days ago. Maybe was BuildZoid in one of his rambles

Something to do with insufficient contact to the heat sinks or back plates on some cards.

No, but my wolf hybrid didn't like the excessive temps from the workstation in my room.  So, I stopped folding in the bedroom and only fold on the server now.

Seems normal for me.

I guess my friend with his 3080FE just has bad luck, he's seeing 94C memory temps playing COD Warzone. Is folding not as memory intense?

Anyone seeing dangerous memory temps on their 3080 and 3090?

Dangerous I don't know, but high yes....

is this a ok start for multi gpu? i found it for free at a friend. as it is free i tock it home

Yes, you can run two cards with that. The 1050ti isn't going to fold a lot but free is free!

Disable turbo on the CPU to lower power use by it if you're not CPU folding.

Before my cards aren't supported anymore by the NVIDIA drivers - they're 600 and 700 series.

If that's more than about 30 years folding 24/7 with 2 of them, then maybe yes...

Also at 30x the energy cost of a 3070 totalling about $20K...

2 GTX 650 Ti Boosts and 1 GTX 750.

I might toss in another CPU or GPU from time to time, but mostly this.

They’re back.  Phew, I was hoping nothing had happened to Jason and they weren’t gone for good.

Hey, I'm back.🤘  Lol.  Just about killed my gtx1080 after the last folding month event.  Was still working so I didn't bother to add it to the dead hardware thread but there was a noticeable performance loss and 1 of the display ports quit outputting so folding got turned off for a few months.  Well today was upgrade day and happy to say I am back to folding with the new hotness, literally.  Added a RTX 3090 to the mix.  First W/U's should be rolling in within the hour.  Can't wait to see what this does to my electric bill.  😆

Appears to be an issue with 4.200 at the Chodera Lab (MSKC).  It is still offering up WUs but mostly connections to it are failing (timing out). Appears to have started about 04:00 EDT

Going to take a little break from Folding for a while. Need to recover costs of my system and electric over the past year.

@cbigfoot Now's your chance to beat me 😛

Yeah, electricity prices here are set to return to normal at the end of the day today after a month and 1/2 of fixed rate COVID pricing so I’ll be cutting back to running only during the 12 hours at the least expensive rates weekdays and 24x7 on weekends.

$0.08/kWh was nice while it lasted.

Was hoping I’d get into the top 100 before the rates were raised. I’ll still get there, it will just take a bit longer.

I wonder how stable this is...

Screenshot_237.png.ca056ec99e98896b11db4fb311528e6a.png

It's stable on mining, but not sure on folding or gaming. I bet it'll insta-crash on anything else. ECC kicks in at 1400.

I had a WU counted for yesterday on EOC even though I didn't fold either that day or the previous one... good thing, avoids me having 2 zeros in a row 😛 My 3080 has been moved to mining for the past 2 days as well.
