today is the day lads! only a few short hours and my main F@H machine is finally going back online!

it's been a long 3 weeks without anything folding, and i've been dropping ranks left and right.

Finally got to undervolting my 3060 Ti (got it since launch).

130 to 180 watts when folding, 5 to 20% over average PPD for the 3060 ti.

Max 63 degrees and 1050 rpm in an ITX build (NR200), practically inaudible (MSI Gaming X Trio). Damn, that cooler is overbuilt for 'just' a 3060 Ti.

I also don't reserve any cpu threads for folding. I run 100% cpu load on BOINC (WCG or rosetta). Leaving threads free has exactly 0 effect op PPD. (3950X)

 

On a 6900xt I get nowhere near the folding numbers in the LAR database unfortunately.

Yeah, I messaged them a day before making this.

Haven't heard back yet, so I figured I'd see if anyone else has been IP banned from there in the meantime.

i have had that happen a few times i dont think he works weekends on it or Holidays. He was Pretty fast each time i emailed him within business hours

I had one of my networks (which I usually use VPN with for torrents), blacklisted on their website after accessing it for a few times (without VPN or active torrents).

As I do not use that network often, I just forgot about it and didn't even contact him. After 3-6 months later when I tried again with that network, it worked fine. 

He probably has an automated system for that.

I'm a bit mad - I didn't set myself up with an account, so I spent 3 days that would have gotten me about 1 million points to nothing.

At least I'm generating ~300,000 points a day.

Not yet entirely, but at least my main folding box is back up and running.

Hey guys,

Just wondering if you've tried enabling hardware-based GPU scheduling on your Win10 folding machines, and whether that's made any noticeable difference for you. For me, on a 1060 3GB, it took the production up from 700K PPD after the CUDA update to 850ish for a couple of days. This and the CUDA update together bring about 2x the 420k PPD I was making after the release of Core22. I can't confirm a performance impact long term, though, because I had to stop it soon after because of high power bills. You can check if this option is enabled by going to settings -> display settings -> graphics options.

Looks good, some Aliexpress right angle adapters would really clean up that power cabling though.

So I've been busy with IRL stuff for basically a month so I havent checked in on ITNOS and uh

WTF happened Jan 6th? Some seriously good WU's. 

 

However I see, to be getting smaller WU's worth less points overall though (as noted by my higher WY count and lower PPD 7 day average compared to Oct-Dec 2020. Will have to check for  the GPU hardware acceleration @rkv_2401 mentioned

I noticed that for a couple of days there were a batch of WUs out there dropping my PPD about 10%. It seems back to normal now.
