That's the weird part. It's been running fine since March with just default settings. I haven't changed anything and it's started doing this. I even tried uninstalling and then installing the latest client, but to no avail.

Have you deleted the previous config before reinstalling?

Can you try deleting all slots, exiting F@H, killing it in task manager and then starting it up again?

I just did a clean OS install and then reinstalled F@H. It's working now. Probably didn't need to reinstall the OS...

Hahahah, most likely, you did not, but well, if you didn't have any important settings or apps configured, you are good to go. If I were to reinstall my OS, I'd need like a month to set up everything the way it was.

Fortunately, this is a dedicated folding machine running Linux Mint 19.3. So it doesn't take very long to wipe it, reinstall, and get going again.

@Bitter rebuilding one of my rigs and discovered that Ubuntu 18.04 is using Wayland rather than the regular x server which likely explains why coolbits don't work

Disabled turbo on the i5 4590T, now it eats about 12W feeding the P106 vs the roughly 25W before. I also power limited the card to 110W down from 120W, but without having clocks control because fucking coolbits problems that tanks my PPD a little bit.

I'm running Xubuntu 20.04 tho so XFCE? I'll get it figured out at some point, I had it working previously so I don't know what's up now but I'm starting to suspect something with the nvidia drivers maybe. I'm probably going to just wipe it and clean install it and start over with the single card again from fresh.

Just to bone myself but seems like no loss in PPD so far! Still hitting my usual numbers.

I have noticed two parts distinctly missing from the PPD DB: 3990x, and the Quadro RTX A8000... WHO IS GONNA BRING US THIS MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN!?!?!??!?!
@Den-Fi? You got a DGX A100 for a day, so how about this?

I see that a performance boost still exists when folding on a Linux system compared to Windows. Does that mean that, if I ran Folding on a Linux system, I'd probably get an average of over 16M PPD?

Screenshot_160.thumb.png.a54e9602d5b46aa6e1a10424803a1f91.png

In terms of the hardware monitoring of my AX1600i, I see that the 3080 has topped over 400 watts on the single PCIe power, maxing out the connector.

Screenshot_158.png.73bea3dc8bdbec53b5a9c9c416369944.png

Now for that 1070 that randomly failed on me. It's been 10 days, and the card has been running without issue. All I did was reboot Windows. Interestingly, It's the slowest GPU in my system, even after my second 1070 has finished rendering my desktop.

Based on your HFM numbers, I think you would probably hit 16 mil. CPU folding isn't really damaging to GPU folding on Linux like it is on windows. My 3900x and 2070 OC go from around 2.1-2.5 mil PPD to closer to 2.8-3.1+ Mil PPD. More GPU's = More Better.

Guess I'll have to "Experiment". I do have Linux installed as a duel boot...

Look at the FAHViewer for it! It is a BIG BOI! lol.  17322 is even bigger from what I have heard. Those ones seem like they are not quite as PPD efficent, but man do they bring in some big point values!

Guess what took a dump today? Both of my 1070's. The 2x and 3080 GPU's are perfectly fine. It's just the 1070's that I have that are unreliable. One of them has been removed, and a GT 710 took its place (To render my desktop). I have ordered a 1050 Ti, as 3440 X 1440 on HDMI seems compressed or something. There is a lack of colour.

Interestingly, removal of 1 GPU has had an impact. Such as, all of my GPU's are performing better.

Screenshot_165.png.20f7f713984e890531a888ff550baad3.png

For example, the 2060's have never gone over 1.9M PDD since I lowered the power limit, until now. Even my other 1070 is performing better.. This has to be something with the CPU.

Do you have more than one Nvidia gpu per physical cpu core? Should have at least 2 maybe 3 extra cores to handle OS overhead too.
