Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Got a rather nice picture from my dad at the school: the car FINALLY has a face! After a few delays for parts we didn't think about, and then a good delay on the silver, it's finally back together. Aaaaaand now we have to get a battery for it since the one it has is very much unlikely to be reliable.

The only problem it has is the students learned how much of a bitch clear can be on bumper covers, so we may end up sanding that down and re-clearing it if we feel the need to do so. There's also the fact that this bumper has the chrome inserts on the corners, whereas this car doesn't actually have all the chrome (since it's a CX). Depending on how much of a bitch they are to remove (and how much it'd cost to get them painted), that miiiiiiight just be something I do when the car is in my grubby little paws because it kinda bugs me.

Oh and we're still tryna hunt down some rims to get when time allows. Probably throw some Hankook all-seasons on whatever we get for it (since they did a great job on our LeSabre) and  then keep the steelies for winter boots and sell off the shitty Michelin Defenders it has now since they've got plenty of life left.

Resized_20210609_090435.jpeg.6d4363e9205fb212b4fdd9fe367964a3.jpeg

EDIT: After being on the phone with him (since there's only so much you can do via texting), he said we're going to end up at least beating the hell out of it since the hood in particular is pretty damn orange peeled, and if that doesn't work well enough he'll sand it and the bumper down to re-clear. Kinda expected for first-year autobody students that aren't getting paid for it, so not a real surprise.

I just hope the Bronco ain't brodozed out by owners because they look pretty good outta the box.... but you know the meathead mentality will fester then suddenly people are adding 4 inch wheel spacers without flares and angry headlight grilles like their jeep brethren.

Given both the delays in production and my own financial schedule, I'll probably wait until 2022-2023 before even thinking about a new Bronco. It also gives them time to develop both aftermarket parts as well as newer models for (maybe higher powered engines with manual trans's????)

Been thinking about archery again. Bow prices have either held or gone down because everyone is buying up guns and ammo right now.

Plus you can re-use arrows. Its very fun. Get a cheaper compound bow and release then see how you like it. You can do tons of stuff to them, most of what I am familiar with is probably outdated. I haven't bothered since the early 2000s.
