Car Enthusiast Club [Now Motorcycle friendly!] - First thread to 150k! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

I cant be the only one who gets a OCD attack when wires in a engine bay are not tidy...

the engine bay on the VR6 is a mess... and i cant sort it all out until my Doka is on the road agian since i need a car for work

Emissions on 1980's cars are worse. No one knows what they do either, not even the makers.

Messy, illegal not to have. Worst case scenario.

Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof.

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.

why is this thread dying? :(

who likes the 2016 MX-5? any comments on it? I think they did well by making it look a bit more aggressive. Its more roadster now than little girly convertible.

This is my new favorite generation of the MX-5. Looks very mean, agile. Hope it still handles like a rabbit.

I generally like everything that is small and super agile. You can have more fun while drawing less attention to yourself or risk your life quite as much... i.e. you dont have to drive 150mph in the 70mph zone to have a good time lol

I believe you got the wrong quote. For one, the MS6 is not small, it's a midsize sedan.

What's your current budget? If this is your first car, I suggest going for something newer (even if it's a class lower). Maintaining an older car can take some effort.

If you enjoy fixing cars, then the older the better. ;)

Cheap. I just want a car to get me from A-B. Nothing more. No fancy frills, nothing to do up. As long as it has a CD player. :D

What do they know of England, who only England know?

No. I was raised in a family of Mazdas. We already got 2 of our own already, a compact Protege and a minivan. The minivan sucks, but the little Protege has been chugging since 2002 and with 230K with no issues, it's been fine, other than maybe the brakes shitted out. I already know Mazdas are reliable, so i trust them.

Except the ones with rotary engines! Lol

But a rotary is pretty cool (makes a good, small track car) too bad it just isn't reliable. :/
