No sound from from 4k blueray player.

Is the HDMI on the JBL an input or an output?

 

If it is output, then it would not work with your Blu-ray Player since that is also an output.

 

You need to connect the JBL to the televisions HDMI ARC port.

You could probably buy a Coaxial to TOSLINK converter box on Amazon if HDMI ARC is not possible for you. Or an HDMI audio extractor box.

I think I will just use the HDMI video and audio out to the tv to the sound bar.
