This thread is for discussion about skiing, snowboarding, and maybe some other snowsports, anyone here a snowmobiler? Here you can also discuss gear, how your trip/day rippin' up the snow went, post your videos and more! Instruction and coaching for improving can also be had here. For skiiers, @AlexStriz can most likely help with improving your skiing, he's a pro! @upliftsleet1974 can help with snowboarding, with 8 years of snowboarding and 2 years of skiing experience up his sleeve I'm sure he can help!

 

Even though us skiiers and snowboarders are a pretty cruisy bunch, ground rules do have to be established to help prevent bad stuff...

 

1. Don't be a fanboy. Respect each other and their opinions and don't bash on them!

 

2. Don't bash on another's choice of snowsport! Don't talk s*** about skiiers, snowboarders; and skiiers, don't do it to snowboarders!

 

3. Have fun! At the end of the day we just love going up mountains and tearing up the snow and having fun!

My skis are the Elan Amphibio 78 Ti Fusion in 160cm length. Only used for half of 1 season

These are weird because these have specifically made left and right sides, and also they use the Amphibio profile. The Amphibio profile has rocker on the outside side and camber on the inside side. It gives easy turning and edge grip at the same time.

I really like the 2012 rossignal S3. I should have bought a set but I didn't have the expendable cash at the time.

Just saying i have snowboarded once and my legs hurt worse than after a 10k run. Geez they should tell people that stuff, also lessons way expensive. Lots of fun though.

That moment when you try to take a pic of all your skis, but they don't fit into one pic

 

Here are some pics of my family's 'quiver' taken a few years ago. Sorry for potato quality. We've gotten maybe 15 or so more pairs of skis since then. And sold a few.

I've never had any top of the line gear, but I certainly love skiing. I've been skiing since I was really young. So far my biggest trips have been to Whistler, BC, Canada, and Big Sky, Montana, US.

Did the North Island Secondary Schools Ski Competition... @AlexStriz track was soooo rutted it by my run it was so hard to get an edge!
