The PCV hose is connected after all of those, but I'll still take a look at them. I've also finally gotten around to tightening the throttle cable since the ~1cm of dead zone on the throttle pedal was getting kind of annoying.

There's also a small part right next to the throttle body that has a thing on the bottom get pressed on when the throttle is closed and has a clear tube running out of it, like a low pressure fuel line. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the excess fuel return system, and the problem with this is that the bottom part takes a lot of force to press, so it might not be doing the right thing with the fuel and could be why I sometimes smell fuel outside the car, but only when the engine is idling. I'll be able to post a picture of it tomorrow, but do you have any idea what that part might actually be called?

DIY Maintenance is awesome. Hard work. But awesome. Kept me alive all this time. I have so much more money than I otherwise would have lol

It would be cheaper to just get another Mondeo than to swap transmissions or probably even the clutch

Local auto magazine test drove the Mazda 3 , they didnt say anything about a hybrid system unless you are reffering to the compressor ?

In short, they're throwing a 48v alternator on there to assist during high loads likely to prevent knocking that the testers noted earlier this year. Marketing fluffed it up in the article, but thats the real reasoning IMO.

EPA, No. Real world, maybe.

 

Regardless, we haven't seen anything like this mass produced. Need to wait 5 years to see reliability. Same thing I am doing with the Honda turbo engines, which are running into some bumps so far

runns HCCI once its up and running tho so that figure is probably from just HCCI mode

Gearboxes on the newer master vans we can manage in about a day and a half to remove and refit.
