3700x blue screening, tried different ram modules and still does it.

this is my teachers, he upgraded to a 5800x and is now sending this into me to see if i can get it to work. he says it was doing it for a while randomly, and he thinks it a memory problem with the cpu, could there be any other problems with it?

(pc if the parts get here in time): ryzen 7 3700||gigabyte gtx 1070|| 16 gb ddr4|| SanDisk Ultra 3D 512GB 2.5 ssd||MSI b450m pro-vdh max||2013 corsair cx750m|| hp pavilion case||

Degraded cores that the stock PBO system is overboosting. That's rather unlikely though, a memory issue would be more common, or something like a bad BIOS revision and/or bad motherboard.
