I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

welp, got an estimate from my body shop guy for the Accord today. He expects $1450 to repair it, but an estimator is going to come out and give it a "real" estimate. He's also going to repair the rust, and repaint the hood for an additional $550.

all in all it will cost me about $650 to have a beautiful car again! Wahoo!

And there's a chance that the estimator will give a higher estimate than my body guy, and that will save me some money one my repairs.

Does anybody know the differences between the Porsche 911 GT3RS and the GT2RS? I've been getting back into watching videos about supercars, and I think those two are super cool.

Engines mainly. GT3 RS uses an 520 hp 346 lb-ft NA 4.0L flat six, and the GT2 RS uses a 700 hp 552 lb-ft 3.8L twin-turbo flat six. The GT2 has a higher top speed also, and I think the gearing is different also. The GT2 obviously costs more, and it's a bit heavier also. Why, you thinking of buying one?

Compared to most of the modified cars around Orlando that are putting down 500 to 900 hp on the street its pretty slow lol. But hey i still get 26mpg on 93oct which is better then a factory GT ?‍♂️. Lights are mostly for shows and events, especially when i have the police strobe red/blue on them. Although in the past 2 years i haven't seen anyone else with that kind of set up. Its a 2014 GT Fog Light housing and its a direct fitment for 2015 with standard H11 RGB bulbs.

Just a quick question for the community. I am getting this car's headlights rechromed since they barely work at night and the chrome is missing in in places. Is that an actual thing that can be done? Someone locally is offering 40 bucks to restore both headlights. Is this seem legitimate or should I avoid it?

Re-chrome as in the inside of the headlights? Or restore as in go to autozone and get a $12 headlight restoration kit (some of which actually work pretty well)? I've never heard of the actual chrome in the housing flaking off unless the housing has been unsealed for an extended period of time. That would cause a lot of condensation on the inside of the housing also, which would make it impossible to restore. Have you looked up the price of a new set of headlight housings? I'm assuming that's a Sentra?

Yeah its actual reflective chrome has missing parts. There isnt any visible moisture. The previous owner left broken bulbs on the inside and i guess it rubbed it away. There are no new headlights and if i find any people are asking like 200 a piece. Im a student who can barely afford food, let alone that.. just want my car safe to drive at night since i can barely see. And its a Maxima. It has glass headlights.

I used to have a 944, an S2 model in blue.... and i bloody loved it. i still wish that i had it to be honest.

That said, porsche ownership isn't cheap. Even on the 'poor mans porsche' repairs, preventative maintenance etc clocks up very quickly.

ugh.... but it was gorgeous, and of course, pop up headlights.

Look them up and see if they can be taken apart. I'd be curious to ask how exactly this guy is going to re-chrome the reflector.

That isnt my exact car owo Didnt have a photo

of it but Its in very similiar condition! I love it, clean af, manual, comfy. The previous owner even fully converted its AC system so i can charge it with r134 or whut ever it is. I love it. Once I get a chance, I’ll take a picture of it! It does have some small cosmetic issues, one corner light is broken but i have the part to replace it, the tinting was applied badly so gonna replace that, and the lower bumper assembly is missing, which is hard to find since its SE trim specific. BUT I WANNA FIND IT SO BAD UT IS WHERE THE FOG LIGHTS WERE HELD! I neeeeeed it. I even have the super rare cant even find pictures electronic dash cluster!

Gas is about to get a bit cheaper. Oil just hit a 52 week low

Bad for the economy where I am tho. Hopefully no one starts losing jobs again

gas has been really cheap(by my standards) at only 14.9sek/L which is about $6.2/gallon

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Oil prices are lower, that'll be a 3p increase in fuel atleast.

Not like £1.45 a litre is expensive enough as it is for V power ?

Oil prices are lower, that'll be a 3p increase in fuel atleast.

Not like £1.45 a litre is expensive enough as it is for V power ?

It's €1.60 euro per litre for the cheap stuff (E10 95 octane equivalent) in Germany right now :/

I saw €1.78 for the high-end fuel (V-Power) last week.

The Rhine is really low right now, the ships can't get to the major inland refineries.
