Cars that you absolutely hate

Only if you get a worthwhile engine and not the Pony Car packages Ford's been pushing. Think Dodge offers a pony car alternative of the Charger, running a turbo'd i4, too now.

The only car that I can think of is the Dodge Dart, but that's not a pony car.

1. Toyota Prius

2. Any BMW or Audi, not because of the cars, but because of the majority of people that drive them.

3.  Early 90s Ford Mustangs (the 'sport sedan' model)

4. Smart (the brand known as Smart) convertibles, although I love to laugh at the audacity of the design

5.  Any model of Power Wheels

I used to agree with you, until I Rented and RX model while my truck was down, and that thing is a beast for a little 4 cylinder turbo, I dusted my brother in law in his mustang with with it, plus the AWD for the snow around here is fantastic.  I would definitely own one if it wasn't so damn ugly.

Its hard to hate a car except for companies that cut corners (like mercedes, WV, toyota, some american cars, chinese cars), most of the time its the driver i hate.

So many...

VW & Audi, god they are dull. It's like VW have department of excitement avoidance, and that is a very well resourced.

Mercedes SUVs, my eyes they hurt.

SUVs in general, too high, too wobbly.

Cars with old, slow, 4 speed automatic boxes, they have ruined so many cars.

1.) BMW i3 - ugliest car i've ever seen. My theory remains that BMW made it extra ugly that no one buys it and then they can say nobody wants one...

2.) Fiat Multipla - probably the ugliest car after the i3

3.) probably all SUV except Range/Land Rovers, G-class, Wrangler, Stelvio and Levante. Stelvio and Levante are probably the most beautiful out there and the Range and Land-Rovers, Wranger and the G-Class are probably the last true capable offroaders from factory.

My sister used to hate (and maybe still does) El Caminos (I think they were made from the 1970s to 1980s or so) - the ones that looked like a normal passenger sedan but the back was like a pickup truck.

There's a great Idahoan nickname for them: El Cabeaners.

Those were originally show cars. Made to be pretty, sound good, and get you from point A to B when needed. The modern Dart is just a budget car, but a decent looking one at that.

No such thing. SUVs are correctly stanced for their duty. Scraping the ground on the other hand, is heathonistic.

I much prefer lower cars over higher cars because i don't need to worry about clearance issues in parking garages and overpasses and such.

On the flip side, I prefer higher cars because there isn't a single place I can't park my truck if I lifted it 6" and put on a ladder rack, whereas I'd be taking a dropped piece of shit to the shop every other weekend because it can't clear a speed bump or storm drain.

The problem I have with a lot of those cars is they're just as quirky on the inside as they are on the outside. The exception being the Kia Soul which is fairly "normal" on the inside.

Something I did just think of thats a huge deal breaker in any car for me: center console mounted window controls. Can't stand them.

Maybe its just the variants/models exported to westerners but as someone who's been in a couple of 'cube'-like cars in Japan, their interior were not any more significantly different than the standard/'typical' car I find here, in Britain (IMO at least).

Its a pretty big deal to me. When they are in the console they tend to collect crap, get stuff spilled on them and become sticky and gross.

Plus there was a time where I had to replace the switches in a Suzuki SL7 that had console mounted switches. The procedure was to take out the entire center console to flip it upside down and access the screws. Well, that would of been fine if this car hadn't smelled so repulsive that I wore my dust respirator to help me breath which was likely placebo, but it did make it possible to work without almost vomiting every breath. Then I went to pull the screws that secured the console, and within the storage area it was filled with adult diapers. So I said fuck the book procedure and I just peeled back the side plastic on the console, unscrewed the switches, and replaced them. Then I went home and took a shower. Thankfully those customers never came back after that job because they tried to get us to commit warranty fraud by saying we replaced a "window transmission" rather than a window switch because their warranty didn't cover electrical failures.

pretty much every vauxhall/opel, the shitboxes, are just kludged together, crap engines, poor gearboxes, chintzy plastics, and driven by people who have no regard for anyone and people who've barely passed their drivers test

as well as pretty much anything with a fart can.

But for most of them their duty is shuffling around cities. They're just school run cars.

Scraping the ground is expensive and to be avoid where possible. I concede on a road car you need pliancy and travel in the suspension to keep the tyres in contact with the road and maintain traction. But you can still have them nice and low (not stanced, for the love of all that is good and pure, not stanced), with a nice low seating potion, and there is nothing better to chuck down a twisty road. Think Lotus Elise, not a slammed Golf.
