IDK why, but night theme on LTT forums hurts my eyes.  I can use a night theme virtually everywhere else, but here is a no go.

Currently focusing on my video game collection.

It doesn't matter what you play games on, just play good games you enjoy.

I just unpinned the nav bar and my eyes thank you for it! Aside from sometimes clicking the bell icon to get a notification, or to change something in my profile, I don't use the bar. Also I never liked the way the pin moves off of the screen when you scroll down, it is a visual thing that my eyes got distracted by as they saw movement but could trace where it was LOL

My suggestion

 

The "SORT BY V" setting does not save.

I don't care when a thread has been "recently updated" I want to sort by "start date".

 

Its a pain having to set it every single time.

I agree, but unfortunately that doesn't fit within the scope of what I can do for this update, and the devs have consistently shown that they really don't care about this issue.

For the pin, the nav bar is being redesigned anyway, so I'm trying to establish whether a pin icon needs to be worked into the design, or whether it should just always be pinned.

For the reply button, IMO it encourages people to reply to a topic without reading the posts, and it would fee up the vertical space that's dedicated to it, so I'm trying to decide whether it could be removed or not.

For themes, I'm mostly interested in how many people didn't know that they could change theme.

That isn't something that I can fix for this update, but I will pass it on to the devs to consider for a future update, though I'm not sure that they're even reading suggestions any more so don't hold your breath.

I'm afraid not. I don't know why they work like that, because it seems like more work to implement the notifications that they are using than it would be to just use the default followed content system, but for some reason that's how it is, and changing it is either not possible, or requires quite a bit of work to cut out the right sections of the code.

If I find myself in that situation, I found you can unsubscribe by writing clicking reply to thread, and uncheck the notify me of replies toggle.

For topics, you can unfollow it using the follow dialog at the top of the page

Yeah every thing I could I put a dark/night theme out of preference, it is silly to think such themes can only be used on the "dark" hahah at least my eyes don't hurt from blinding white any more.

 

This poll was somewhat fun, I don't mind any possible changes in the UI as long as dark theme stays lol.
