Hey LTT forum!

I recently bought myself the Meta Quest 2 and have really been enjoying it. I've mainly used it for Beat Saber as I unfortunately get motion-sick after moving around for a few minutes in other games. I'm looking for some game suggestions that don't involve a lot of character movement to ease me into VR. I feel like it's gotten a bit better from me playing every one to two days until I got a bit sick but I can still feel it after a few minutes of playing. I can play Beat Saber for over an hour and not feel sick at all afterwards, I just have to stop after one and a half hours from being totally exhausted lol. I've tried Minecraft in VR using the Vivecraft mod and moving very, very slowly, like 5 seconds/block, I can keep playing for around a quarter of an hour before I need to stop. Moving at Minecraft's walking speed, I have to stop after around 5 minutes or so. Subnautica also only works for less than 10 minutes currently, I've never tried it again after the first time, maybe it's gotten better.

The games can be PCVR games or Quest Native games

Any suggestions are appreciated

  • 2 weeks later...

It will take awhile to build a tolerance. just keep stopping as soon as you feel sick or cold sweats and come back later when you are fully recovered. Don't try and push through as it will just make it worse.

Walkabout MiniGolf (PC or Quest Native)

Budget Cuts (PC or Quest Native)

Arizona Sunshine 1 & 2 (PC or Quest Native) Use the teleport locomotion

SuperHot (PC or Quest Native)

After you build up some vr tolerance but being in a cockpit helps a bit

VtolVR (PCVR)

Thanks, I'll stop earlier than I used to then. I haven't tried in a while because I didn't have as much time but if I do, I'll make sure to slowly approach it and also walk slowly as I can tolerate that for much longer

If you have a friend, try "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes." You may lose said friend because of the game, but it is worth a shot.

DCS - Digital Combat Simulator is awesome in VR. Another one that gave me plenty of fun was Elven Assassin. But i mainly use VR for sim-racing and that's where it truly shines. All the other genres are just decades behind in development, so don't expect any miracles there anytime soon.
