What tech are y'all buying/upgrading this year?

dizmo

I'll probably do a new Ryzen/Vega build later this year and I'll probably also replace my current monitor with 4K Freesync one.

I'd also like to get another pair of nice headphones like Audeze LCD-2 or maybe a Stax system. Maybe also a headphone tube amp. Already replaced my failing Cambridge Audio DacMagic Plus with a Marantz HD-DAC1 a few weeks ago.

Laptop:

Something that's a 13.3" ultrabook that weighs sub 1.3KG and is sub 15mm thick from my 2.4KG 21mm 15.6" lappy.

Desktop:

Hopefully vega and downsizing to mITX but probably isn't going to happen due to the next thing...

Non-tech related:

Hopefully an Alfa Mito in white or blue...as my first car :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Interesting phone! Not something I'd get as the screen is way too small for me, but it's nice to see companies branching out like that. Shame it's a Japan only model and probably doesn't support the bands needed for other areas.

Thanks for the tip! Im pretty close to the border but thats about double what I want to spend on a chair so Ill probably check my local options first haha. I dont need anything fancy :)

They should have some of Millers lower tier chairs as well, which should be quite a bit cheaper. I have a friend who bought one and he absolutely loves them.

You live close to the border and you don't have a US shipping address? I got most of my stuff from down south. Saved thousands over the years.

I am selling with everything included (EK full blocks, back plate, air cooler, and boxes).  Only asking $370 each or $700 both which includes shipping within US48.

Wow with all of that stuff it's a solid price too. Surprised no one's snapped them up!
You have them on the Reddit Hardware Swap I'm guessing?

Samsung is generally really good when it comes to battery life in their devices, I'm sure this will be no different. Hopefully Canada gets the Exynos models again.

Well I'm going for a 2009-2013 used one which goes around for £3000-6000 but a completely new one costs like 11K so...I mean... they're not actually that expensive plus Alfa has gotten their ass together and they seem to be a lot more reliable now.

I have a razer blackwidow with real MX blues and i have tried the razer green switches.

So yes, i have used them before :D But honestly even if they are a bit sh*t, i can live with that. The razer green switches were so awful my expectations are low anyway.

It's just the fact that it was so stupidly cheap and had led's i went well f*ck it and just ordered it.

Oh, and I do need to do something about the SSDs in my NAS because I'm running out of space on those.

Waiting for Ryzen to mature and actually get some good ITX boards, then I'll build a very SFF build with Ryzen 5. Really hoping Vega has some ITX cards.

Depends on Vega, but either a 29" 21:9 or a nice 24" IPS. Possibly a 38" 21:9, but we'll see how Vega performs.

Literally exactly what I was going to say ;)

The only thing I will be upgrading other than this is my mouse, probably to a G502. I also MIGHT buy a G4560 and ITX motherboard combo instead.
