  1. Thank you for your responses. The cable run is quite short (about 3 meters) so it must be an old standard that has been used that can't handle HDR on the 4K TV.
  2. I have a media panel installed in my house which allows me to plug my devices into the wall outlets and have the outputs available behind the TV so no cables are visible. Essentially all cables are patched through the wall. Everything works well except the HDMI cable when running HDR. My TV goes blank when my media device switches to HDR. If I plug the HDMI cable from the TV directly into the media device (bypassing the patch lead in the wall) there is no issue. Is there an incompatibility between the HDMI cable patched through the wall and HDMI cable I am plugging into the outlet? I don't kno
  3. V-Sync limits your fps to the refresh rate of your monitor. You will still experience screen tearing with just V-Sync because your monitor refresh rate and game FPS will not always be aligned. G-Sync will synchronize the refresh rate of your monitor with the FPS of your game. G-Sync cannot operate if your FPS exceeds your monitors refresh rate because the monitor cannot keep up. Most modern games have the ability to limit your FPS. I have done this in CSGO by limiting my FPS to 100 FPS because I know my 144 monitor with G-Sync can synchronize easily and I cannot see any
  4. My Windows Server is called Defiant... for obvious reasons.
  5. Yes and many others have also reported the same issue.
  6. The game is working well for some and not so well for others. I have an i7 8700k OC 5 GHz paired with a NVIDIA 1080 and I frequently get FPS drops. I have to restart my game after every campaign mission otherwise I get auto-defeated once the map loads. There are many more issues I have experienced but they are relatively minor in comparison to these two. Other users with different hardware are experiencing much worse. The game is unplayable for some despite their rigs meeting or exceeding the recommended hardware specifications. I will NOT be requesting a refund because I am enjoying the game
  7. The official Reforged forums are 99% rage at the moment and Activision-Blizzard is silent.
  8. FreeNAS is designed to be installed on bare metal. Just because it can be virtualized doesn't mean it should.
  9. Thanks for your feedback. I ended up buying an older E5-2670 v3 12 core 2.3 GHz retail version instead because it is guaranteed to be compatible with my system. The v3 does not support my 2400 MHz memory (only 2133) but leaves room for upgrade in a couple years when v4 prices come down.
  10. 4x HDD in RAID 10 can probably saturate a SATA 3 bus in sequential reads. Still wouldn't come close in random IO though.
  11. Is the Intel Xeon E5-2650 v4 ES QHV6 compatible with the Supermicro X10SRL-F motherboard? I am currently using an 8 core 1.7 GHz retail Xeon E5-2609 v4 which struggles to transcode 4k blurays on Plex Media Server. I am looking for a cheap upgrade and the E5-2650 v4 ES is perfect with 12 cores at 2.2 GHz, turbo boost and will support my 2400 ECC Registered memory.
  12. Have you tried -Xmx2048M -Xms2048M? This will allocate 2 GB to the java application.
