  1. Unless you have specific reason or need to update, I would advise against updating just for the sake of having the latest BIOS, there's always a small risk that something might go wrong during the flashing process.
  2. For me the game I'm by far looking the most forward to is Horizon Forbidden West, assuming it actually releases this year. Here's also hoping that I actually manage to get a PS5 by then. Horizon Zero Dawn was the reason I finally got a PS4 and I absolutely love the game, it's definitely one of my all time favorites.
  3. I can't really compare how it feels versus the real thing since it's been ages that I've played on a real Megadrive but I haven't had any problems playing on the Mini, controls feel perfectly fine though I've mostly just played Tetris on it
  4. I played exclusively on PC for 25 years but since I got a PS4 Pro in 2017 I've pretty much completely switched over to consoles. I've just come to appreciate the simplicity of console gaming, you just pop in the disc/download the game and start playing, no messing around with drivers, settings etc. Also I prefer to play on my 65" OLED sitting on my couch instead of in front of my computer, it's just way more comfortable and relaxing. I did build a nice gaming rig last December to play Cyberpunk 2077 so I'll always have the option to get a game on PC instead if I so choose and of course there a
  5. Currently I've got: PS4 Pro PS Vita Nintendo Switch Xbox 360 Sega Megadrive Mini Got a PS5 disc version on order but no idea when I'm actually going to get it.
  6. Finally built a new rig last December in time for Cyberpunk 2077, my previous build was almost 7 years old I and hadn't really played anything on it since I got a PS4 Pro in 2017. While I didn't manage to get exactly the parts I wanted I'm still happy with what I ended up with. Desk: Ikea Fredde PC: Ryzen 5 5600X + Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black MSI RTX 3070 SUPRIM X MSI B550 Tomahawk 32GB G.Skill Ripjaws V 3600MHz CL 16 500GB A-Data SX8200 Pro + 1TB A-Data SX8200 Pro NVMe SSD 4TB Seagate Barracuda HDD Corsair RM750x
  7. If you're also interested in playing small indie games then I'd definitely recommend Cat Quest and Cat Quest II. I've played them both and they are utterly charming little action RPGs, though if you don't like cats or cat puns you might not enjoy them
  8. One game that hasn't been mentioned yet and might be worth checking out is Immortals Fenyx Rising. I haven't played it yet myself but I've heard some good things about it and I just ordered the Gold Edition on PS4. I'm on vacation next week so got to have something to pass the time
  9. I've too noticed on my system (5600X + MSI B550 Tomahawk) that my external HDD would constantly keep disconnecting/reconnecting if I connect it to the front panel USB ports. Using the front panel USB 3.0 was completely impossible as it would just disconnect every second or so and while USB 2.0 was slightly better it still wasn't usable. If I connect the HDD via my keyboard (Logitech G513) which is connected to the rear USB ports then it would work fine, though only at USB 2.0 speeds. The problem isn't with the HDD as it works flawlessly on both my old system and on my laptop. I've also disable
  10. The standard edition is currently -70% on Ubisoft Store while the Ultimate, Gold and Deluxe editions are -75% if you're willing to buy the game there.
  11. I didn't like RDR2 either (played it on PS4 Pro). I understand why some love it but personally I just found the game such a chore to play, everything you do is needlessly convoluted. I know it is immersive but I just didn't find the game to be fun to play. As for the games I'd recommend tikker made good list, I'd add Assassin's Creed Odyssey which I rate as the best of the AC games I've played (Valhalla, Odyssey and Origins).
  12. I never even considered there'd be people who don't use a microwave. I use mine daily, though just for reheating or very occasionally for thawing, I've never used it for actual cooking.
  13. Damn that's cheap, in Finland you won't find a 3080 for under 1000€ and the cheapest 3070 I found was 800€, I'd jump at a chance to get a 3080 for $900. I got an MSI 3070 Suprim X in December for 760€ and now that same card is 1000€. I know that GPU prices in Finland are always higher than in the US but this is getting ridiculous.
  14. I'm using a pair of Genelec 8020Bs connected to a Marantz HD-DAC1 which is connected to my computer via a Singxer F-1 USB Audio Bridge.
  15. I recently built a new rig and I'm wondering if there is any noticeable benefit for gaming performance to try tighter memory timings than what I 'm currently using? I've never bothered with memory overclocking so I don't really any experience with it, I've always just enabled XMP and called it a day. These are the timings I'm currently using and they're stable, they passed Memtest86 without any errors: The memory is G.Skill Ripjaws V 2x16Gb. Like I said all I've done is enable XMP, though I had to manually set tRC to 58 as that for some reason was still at
