Thanks! Not serious enough for ln2 lol would be cool though. Will stick to liquid cooling instead.

Well, this isn't what I had originally planned, but after GPU prices went bonkers AGAIN I scoured ebay for GPUs.

 

1070 or 1070ti cards going for way more than 500 €? Seems like a lot of people are ok with that, because that's how those auctions went. I just went 'fuck that shit', at most I was willing to pay 480 € for a 1070ti. Then I got lucky:

 

Got that one for 526 €. Prices for these are 600 € at the lowest right now, original German MSRP was apparently about 490 € (incl. VAT).

 

And for those outside the EU, yes that is Galax. They sell under the brand KFA2 here.

 

I figured that if I was going to spend over 500 € anyway, I should get something that was actually worth that money. As in, get a 1080. I think I got exceedingly lucky with that one.

 

Well, that's next month's PC-part at least.

Oh no it is the one I sent them, they sent me the accurate colour scheme which was very pleasing ^^

Got these 2 yesterday for 10 bucks since they were advertised as broken. They look alright though so maybe I can get them working. Either way, for what I paid, I'm pretty okay with it even if it ends up being a bust. Anyway, the mobos are an Asus P8P67 Deluxe and an AsRock 970 Pro3. Previous owner said he was having issues with them posting but they were getting power. From what I can see, somebody spilled quite a bit of thermal paste in the sockets so I'm thinking maybe if I can get them clean, they might work. 

 

 

The boards need a ton of cleaning though.

Blech! - I hate it when people are careless

 

Probably will work out OK for you though, so that's great

 

Just don't do a Jay, and kill a CPU with the mobo... try an inexpensive CPU if I was you... you should ask the guy what he did with the CPUs? if they are still working then it's possible that the mobo is fine when cleaned up.

I actually have a Sandy Bridge Pentium and an older Sempron 150 that Ill be using to test the boards so I wont be using expensive parts. If the boards work though that would be pretty sweet!

 

As for what he did with them, I believe he took one to use in his computer and the other one Im not too sure about.
