What is this ancient artifact? Does it date back to the Paleolithic? You should donate it to the museaum of natural history.

A Motorola 68000 or whatever. I'm going to see if I can learn how to develop and build my own calculator using it.

How much are these?

I probably don't even need one for the house I'm getting as its on a suburb surrounded by farms and between two motorways, but I want to get one still.

Not exactly a new purchase, but my RMA went successfully after 25 days of waiting and I got myself some brand new pair of G.Skill's finest :3

Not too bad a turnaround! Glad you're back in business!

Look what I just found on EBay!

WOezu4a.jpg

The seller has a few more for sale at the same / lower prices too, I've posted the info over in the CPUs / Mobos / Ram section.

This was also the exact kit I wanted for my second choice. My first choice was G.Skill Trident RGB 2x16 Gb, but it costs £450, so I was looking for Crucial Ballistix in white for under £300 as my current silver version in 8 GB is already a perfect match for my build minus the RGB LEDs, and the rest of the build is white.

Hi Bhav,

You can find them on Amazon HERE they are currently listed at £189.99

I managed to pick them up in a lightning sale for £125.

If you are not in a rush I would suggest keeping an eye on the price as they are sure to show up as a deal again

Oh, that doesn't cost much, I'm going to keep an eye out for nicer looking ones too, won't be looking until several months after moving in though.

Gonna get a fancy Hammond's bedroom first.

Got 3 SSDs for $20, granted they're 16GB, but they work.

Don't know what I'll do with them yet, but right now I'm thinking Linux installations.

image.jpg

I actually didn't pay $60 for this, I paid $35.  But this is a brand new, never been opened, first gen Core i5 760.  I did end up opening it cause I plan a build with it.

(Also, it originally was $279.99)

Sotimage.jpg

Stock thermal paste is still on the CPU cooler.

The CPU came with a 3 year limited warranty, think I still have it since it's still technically brand new?

Currently focusing on my video game collection.

Huh,  I had no idea 16GB SSDs were still a thing TBH. Kinda thought they bottomed out at 32GB now. You should install XP on one for the lulz ?

That will boot so ludicrously fast it'll be amazing. Even on the 40GB 5400RPM IDE laptop drive in my ProSignia 165 it'd boot in 10 seconds or less, and that's with a P2 400MHz and 64MB of PC100 RAM lol
