My CPU picked up a monster WU a day or so ago. It has 1.59 days remaining. I don't think it's gonna get in on time... Feels like the last couple days were wasted. Oh well, that's how it goes sometimes. (And this is on my R5 3600 too, not my crappy 10-year-old CPU. Curse you, project 18425!)

I kept getting these projects on my CPU. Turned off CPU folding. My PPD went up ~1M on my RTX 3070.

 

I'm sure it's a worthy cause, but it was always so annoying to see the project take upwards of 1-2 days on a R7 3700X.

I still pick up points when I cpu fold on my Linux box.  I leave 2 cores free to work on OS and the GPU folding stuff. Not a ton of benefit but I figure every little point helps.

If Chrome crashes, you can just CTRL+SHIFT+T to open same tabs again, but OneTab has never crashed before for me so I am unsure what you are talking about.

I reread the review, they forced closed Chrome. Depending on how one does it you'll lose tabs either way.

I have the 8600k in my server (96K 4 threads) as well as the Mac-mini M1 (83K 4 threads) and MacBook M1 Pro (200K 8 threads).

 

Which considering the server power consumption goes up by 64W when folding vs the M1 which AFAIK has a max of 25W, that's pretty insane.   I see the M1 is rated at 39W but that presumably includes the GPU, video engines and neural engine.  The latter being relevant as I can run Topaz Gigapixel at the same time with zero slowdown (not sure if PPD drops slightly or not, hard to monitor due to the Mac bug with F@H Control).

 

Also, anyone know why I get "401 HTTP UNAUTHORIZED" on the web UI if trying from another computer when I have the network allowed in the config?  Its the only real way to monitor the Macs but I just lost 10K having it open in Safari.

web ui is not meant to be run remotely in general the remote access is from the adv control panel.

That would be great, if it actually worked on MacOS.  If I'm lucky it will work from the Mac itself, but remotely commands refuse to get a response 99% of the time.

Tested it from telnet, connects fine, you issue "queue-info" and it hangs.

must be a M1 issue then adv center works fine on my 2015 MBP running OS 12

Still kinda blown away though that were getting this under Rosetta 2 when it could be up to 25% slower than native.

yeah, i don't like you anymore /jk Im getting 65K and its pulling 60 Watts at the UPS...yes it's on a UPS of its own just so i could monitor power usage a POS APC 600va (BE600M1) lol...the UPS battery lasts ~30 seconds with the computer lol...

Got cards swapped around earlier this morning hours before the score posting (had errands to do before getting a chance to post). 

3080ti has been running smoooothly solo since and it might just stay there! Just had to update the driver and it was off to the races.

Moved the other card (3060ti) into the system the 3080ti was in prior and that system is also purring away with the other 3 cards. - 2 3060tis & 2 3060s to be exact.

Though, I had to trouble shoot the 60ti not being recognized by F@H and then I took a guess that the card wasn't recognized by windows before F@H application started up. Close out of it, opened it up, and it ID'ed the card just fine. Wild. 

Assuming everything is accurate, I "should" be pushing 18+ mil PPD with everything rolling finally. To imagine all the WUs I could have solved if I had done this at the beginning.

I've thought about that, but with my setup I haven't seen any benefit beyond turning off two threads. (I have a R5 3600 with a GTX 1650S. I fold with the GPU and 10 of 12 CPU threads, and that seems to be my best balance normally.)

On the other hand, I realized this event goes through Sunday night, not just tomorrow, so I'll just barely squeeze in this mega-WU sometime early Sunday morning (GMT). Here's hoping for some small WUs on Sunday.

out of the 4 cpus i have  that did folding only 1 did it within under a day span.

that was a 6 core gen 2 ryzen. gpu in it awful for the wu they been giving out thru.

both thread rippers. i ran only gpu takes with both dual gpus in the systems.due to poor wu times.

lastly i my intel mining build has the 2 low end 500 amd series gpus. those are useless atm for gpu wu on folding.

so i set the system to do prime grid wu.

I've had my Chrome force closed many times, if it was a normal tab, I can always reopen it with CTRL+SHIFT+T. I've never lost OneTab tabs by either force closing Chrome, restarting PC while it's open or anything else. 

I've suggested OneTab to many people, none have had this occurrence that you are describing. Nor have I ever heard of it happening to anyone.
