Finally, my room is quiet again without a darn gaming laptop whirring away.

Tomorrow, time to actually GAME on my gaming rig.  Its been a hard slog, particularly seeing as I only got to try two games on the 3080 before the event began.  Good stress test of a new GPU though I guess.

Also what is this quiet you speak of? Home has many noises from light to actual hoomans, getting to work has wooshing wind, woot woot train, and noisy sooubway noises, work has yelling noises, rinse repeat... Not even my headphones are ever quite

Yeah I have three of those Noctua iPPC 3,000RPM fans in one of my servers. They're not quiet. I'm actually tempted to take all of the non-critical servers and install AIO's. Quiet them down a bit without letting temps fly through the roof.

ALSO, DONT FORGET to report your Casualties i have 1 computer i may have to claim have yet to look at it...luckily it was a tablet i was willing to lose for the cause...had a 6y75 i think in it...will confirm tomorrow...

Wow, great work everyone! I hopped in pretty late to this, but I'm already feeling more ready for next year!

It was really easy to get my iMac booted into Windows and up from about 76k per day to 285k per day using the GPU as well as the CPU! I tried running just the GPU by itself, but didn't see any increase. I'm at about 50k for the CPU and 235k for the GPU when running combined.

 

I'm thinking about strategies for next year, I won't be able to compete with the more hardcore setups, but I hope to get some good results in!

I wish my iMac had a supported GPU for F@h. Luckily the CPU gets about 30K PPD by itself.

Woo that's a wrap. Thanks everyone for the lovely competition for those participating and those who didn't sign up and participated anyways with special thanks to our leaders @GOTSpectrumand @cbigfootfor keeping things rollin' despite life and configurations getting in the way.
Time to game with full exclusive GPU access and gain back those few frames that never stopped folding with everything I was doing.
