LTT Official Folding Month 2020!!!

Go to solution Solved by GOTSpectrum,

Luckily when I said it was almost done, I really meant it.

For the last time in 2020, ladles and gentlespoons, here a blog post.

And with that said, it's a wrap! Thank you for everyone getting involved, if you'd like to continue talking about folding why not head over to The Folding Community Board

Aren't most NVMe drives hot swappable? I mean, it won't hurt to try. But I hot swapped my HDD and SSD-s a lot. Haven't tried on NVMe as it is my OS is on it, but I'd figure it would work.

i bet those drives you hot swapped where mostly SATA based. if you want to hotswap your NVMe drives, you need to have a motherboard that supports PCIe hotswap. and afaik that's mostly reserved for server systems.

True, they were SATA. I wouldn't know which motherboards support PCIe hot swap, but if it is true that only server systems have it, that would make it much harder then. Well, anyway, you can still shutdown your PC, put NVMe in and get it up and running in under 5 min in most cases.

In your case @shaz2sxy your NVMe can wait until end of folding month I guess :).

OMG...such a bad name for this event "LTT Official Folding" sounded like LTT is shutting down! Gave me a heat attack, just like Linus does regularly when he drops expensive stuff.

Haha hell yea, As I have GTX580, GTX480 and a Phenom II x6 1100T.

These screen dumps are taken with "normal" mode selected over the night and auto on the fan-speed for the GTX480.

Just ignore that fan speed is selected on the GTX580 as some how it get selected to manual too when set the fan speed manual on the GTX480.

And as a bonus photo of the space heater that is guilty for the most heat in the room when using "FULL" mode on the F&H.

I know, but it would be worse if the 480 was watercooled but as for now it's not. But I'm thinking about find a block for it when I can afford one and the harder part to find a block for it as at least in Sweden is not so easy to find for the 480 anymore haha.

But as seen in the pictures on one of my previous post my radiator is a Phobya Xtreme Nova 1080 so it more then capable to handle Phenom II X6 1100T, Inno3D GTX580 and one unknown GTX480

Interesting fact, if the top 10 points getters formed a team they would currently rank  around 11th in the all team list for 24hr average points.

that just brings into perspective the insane amount of points these lads are producing. absolutely insane!

More interestingly, where would the LTT team be without them?
