LTT Official Folding Month 2020!!!

Go to solution Solved by GOTSpectrum,

Luckily when I said it was almost done, I really meant it.

For the last time in 2020, ladles and gentlespoons, here a blog post.

And with that said, it's a wrap! Thank you for everyone getting involved, if you'd like to continue talking about folding why not head over to The Folding Community Board

Wouldn't something like "Biologically United Tactical Time" be better?

I think I know the answer but older GPU like 650 TI are not able to get WU and are not supported? I have a few laying around that I could but in to a machine or two. I know they would produce much PPD but it would be something.

Using a 640 here, not sure about the 650 Ti, but I'm guessing they'll produce somewhere around 60-150K points a day.

it can take a long time. You can try deleting the folding slot and making a new one for it and also stop the cpu from folding, but it can take a long time as i already said you might just have to wait.

I have a Linux box running a 660 Ti and FAHControl is reporting 230k PPD.  Not sure how much I trust it, but...

I had a 760 that i tried popping along a 2060super but it only slowed it down. I'm not sure older card have any benefits other than just getting a work unit done in 5 to 10 hours.

You're being generous to the cards we are talking about lol... Tho the 650 should have this time cut in half hopefully.

Maybe it's still doing the initial test, are you able to give the log? Might give some details as to whats going on.

It's possible since according to a benchmark website it's about 78% better than the 660 Ti. However points come down to WUs and is typically based on current production more than anything.

I wish I had your confidence lol. I just fear data loss and/or a surge since I don't have a ups and I don't trust my power strip to handle anything major, but fear not, I have cloud GPUs still goin. But this is looking like the last major storm system for the year before snow hits.

Yea, that would make the difference. Both computers are on UPS's, my modem and wireless router are on their own UPS's as well (they are too far apart). I'll lose my computers before I lose my internet lol.

Be happy we aren't colder else we'd be getting with whiteout conditions and knowing people in Oct in this province, about 1 million accidents.
