I'm surprised that the likes of Lysol, Clorox, or even Fabuloso aren't doing sponsored videos with tech YouTubers. I wouldn't mind if Linus is sponsored by Clorox as long as there's a discount for Clorox disinfectant wipes.

We have some pretty shit media that tried to regurgitate and revive the "it's a man made virus".  but they have stopped that since the rest of the science basically made them a laughing stock.

 

Anything that bad in Australia will only be found on youtube and facebook.  The worst I have seen in mainstream is basically skynews making it a political hit piece on the state government (I hate sky, but they have a point about the government).

We’ve deployed our own strike teams and some businesses have already lost their licenses to operate for violating the rules related to covid. Too bad certain other congregations can’t be as quickly chastised that have been violating them repeatedly. Which I’d rather not delve into more here..

We don't have "I'm covered in Jesus' blood" fanatics just yet but we have opportunists and swindlers who either sell hydroxycloroquine and dexamethasone from shady sources or people advocating for megadoses of herbal supplements which they claim to supercharge one's immune system against the coronavirus, when in fact no one can supercharge their immune system unless they want an autoimmune disease.

It's been 3 months since I have "recovered" from the virus.. it still affects me, I am stuffering from migraine headaches and it has gotten worse. I can't focus on work because I get episodes and it leaves me in so much pain...

 

Please don't go out for unnecessary reasons... Protect your family and loved ones.

I don't keep track of our numbers in Michigan. I just know our governor has shut bars down again. But the Casinos in Detroit are opening at 15% capacity. Im kinda surprised it took this long for them to open. I figured they would have fought harder to open sooner. Because I think all the Casino's that were on reservations technically were open, because the state doesn't have authority there.

I keep track because it directly affects me if my city remains on CA's 'watch-list.' I thought my brother would be furloughed again today after just a month of going back to work but his gym is holding on from doing so for another few weeks. My other job as a technician with the county has been put on hold for 6 months. I honestly never thought working at a supermarket grocery store would have job-security in these times.

How badly it affect you financially? Do you have to cut spending or put some future plans, like buying a new car, on hold?

I’m actually saving more money now since I can’t go out as much and do what I used to. I still pay rent on time. I’ve already bought my new car 2 years ago and actually about to refinance it for a lower interest rate since my credit score is much better now. I wanted to share my experience here.
Being a German Citizen who didn't get to see his Canadian fiance living near Toronto since February of this year because of the travel restrictions, I was wondering whether somebody here might be in a similar situation.
 

The travel exemptions only go for common-law couples or those who have had a shared residence for a year.

And she can't come to Germany either, because she can't take off two weeks to Quarantine afterwards in addition to the travel.

I almost burst laughing out loud at work earlier today when I saw 2 customers in the parking lot when one had to go back to their car to get their forgotten mask and they both flung their arms up in the air in mutual frustration. I think of it as the new law in replacement of bringing recyclable bags so you won't be charged for extra thicc plastic ones provided by the supermarket. California laws for you...

I kinda feel bad, I've been sitting here cursing our state for the latest increase in cases,  lamenting how hard it's getting with lockdown etc while the rest of the country is opening back up in varying stages.  Then it was pointed out that if you put my state on a ist compared to the rest of he world it would be 125th worst.  That means there are literally 125 countries with it worse than us.   Then I read that shit about californium.  Fuck me you guys are toast.  I'm so sorry it went that way.

Hol' up. What about the first day of back to school yo. It's Indiana this time. Not my State for once.

As rough as lockdowns can be, you start to appreciate them when you see what happens when they're lifted too soon or aren't enforced properly (in some cases because it may be tough to do). It's one thing to be wary around other people when the risk of infection is still quite low, and there's room for slip-ups; it's another when there are runaway infections and it's entirely possible that one mistake could send you to the hospital.
