VLANs are NECESSARY. What happens if someone accesses a certain server? if you're not going to implement VLANs, at least set up user permissions.. Users will do stupid things and they will NEVER own up to it. Leaving a network wide open is VERY dangerous, I don't understand why people insist on leaving networks vulnerable..
-
Any luck?
-
Well, do you have one? You'll need an RTX card since it won't work with GTX cards..
-
This will only work if you have an Nvidia Card..
-
Have you tried this? Right click on your audio icon on taskbar, recording devices, select device and hit properties, go to listen tab and make sure "Listen to this device" is not checked.
-
What are you using? What is your setup.... is your mic USB, XLR, is it connected to an audio interface?? what do you have?
-
is it worth it for a pfsense/atx based custom router
Sir Asvald replied to conntech's topic in Networking
Overkill yes but expensive? I don't think so. You can get cheap used PC depending on your location. But here in the UK you can get a used PC for £100 and then additional £15 for 2 port NIC. I bought myself a Lenovo M82 SFF for £80, it came with windows 10 pro, an i5 and 8gb ram. I used it as a pfsense box for a while then I virtualised pfsense using the same PC after changing it to an ESXi server. -
What does your girlfriend / wife think of your gaming set-up?

what is a gf or wife? /s -
That is not an unlimited budget... you have a budget of $90K which sounds ridiculous.. You sound like a troll....

What do you mean by "best performance"? Sorry to be blunt. but what you're asking you don't know what you're looking for. It is better to get an IT consultant and talk to them and to tell them what you need. Designing a network is no easy task and I will list the reasons: You need to sure on what your requirements are, it can get really complicated and messy. Maintaining the equipment, keeping them up to date. Security, as in physical access to the network room. What security measures are you going to take? Ethernet cable to the correct locations,
-
I do know that.... just making sure..
-
How are you logging onto your PC if you removed your Microsoft account?
-
Windows Defender and having common sense is the best thing to have!
-
Hardware might be too old for pfsense.

If you want to hide your IP there is one method and it is complicated to set up and needs some technical knowledge. You will need a spare PC to do this
