I wouldn't say that. People who are used to auto brakes will be less prone to paying attention (why would they if they don't need to). Because automatic brakes protects both the passenger AND THE VEHICLE. seat belts may keep you alive in a accident. But they don't stop you from having to buy a new car.

Not exactly.  Seatbelts don’t affect attention levels.  A lot of driving is about attention.  If one is used to a machine paying attention for you if that machine makes a mistake or the driver is forced to suddenly not use that machine, they could be in serious trouble.  He didn’t say “drive more dangerously”.  He said “bad driving habits”.  To defend the point,  This argument about bad driving habits was used with seatbelts iirc.  Radios too when they were introduced. People were afraid they would create more dangerous drivers.  Things that didn’t affect safety like seatbelts did though.  Cellphones are a famous one.  The driver eating in a moving car is actually illegal in some places now.  It’s too vague to legislate.  It will be tried and the statistics will say one way or another.  People will die or they won’t.  It will depend on how flawless the machines are.  If they never ever ever fail it will be no problem.  It’s happened in both directions.  People who grow up relying on such aids will have trouble if those aids fail or are removed.  I know I do.  I grew up with synchromesh manual transmissions.  I can drive stick but I can’t double clutch.  My sister can’t drive my car with any level of skill or safety because she learned on an automatic, but while I can drive her car I can’t drive a model T.  My license says I can.  I would be a fool to try without training though.  I would likely break the thing.  Say the synchromesh in my car broke.  A person who knew how to double clutch could still drive the thing.  I’d be hopeless though.

That function is kinda dumb.  It used to be a text editor button.  It only did things in text editors.

Depends on which classes you take.  Art school wasn’t as big on papers as some.  On the other hand it did horrible things to your clothes and lungs.

Long essays were my jam, 'bout the only thing I could do well was write. I looked forward to essays - the longer the better.

I find alternate function keys superfluous at best. The only ones that I like are media keys, and even then I seek out a keyboard that has dedicated media keys.

 

Worse is when the keyboard makes the alternate function as the default and there's no F-Lock functionality.

Amazon's first echo was the best one

 

My reasoning: 
Better speakers, still functions with all of Amazon's features to this day, cheap, microphones didn't sound trash, bass is actually bass and the design was really nice.

DisplayPort needs to die. It can be passively converted to HDMI and doesn't serve much of a purpose (other than to say "yo I got DisplayPort and you only got HDMI haha u suck").

Displayport has two things going for it: No licensing fees and higher bandwidth.

With HDMI 2.0 and 2.1, the bandwidth benefits become more theoretical than practical, though.

 

Additionally, I've found Displayport to be a better experience (as far as reliability) when connecting through USB-C, such as on newer laptop docks. YMMV!

There was a period where DisplayPort far outpaced hdmi.  Hdmi scaled up to it though, and as a result is an arguably better port because of backwards compatibility.  If hdmi continues to scale but DP doesn’t DP could very well go the way of DVI which it replaced. I don’t know how scalable HDMI is though.  It’s already well beyond its initial vision, but of course so is USB.  DVI scaled too though.  For a while.
