No, that Ryzen 3000 will RUN on PCIe 4.0 is what I meant

with now the io being on another die, we might see them only adding pcie 4.0 on the server io die and not on the consumer io die ( i expect multiple dies due to the large difference in specs and costs)

I'm unable to watch the stream :(

Could someone put a TL;DR of what has been announced?

Zen 2 too?

Also judging from the photo of the Zen 2 thing, it's 8 squares that is marked  with infinity, so if it's 64 core Max it's most likely 8 chiplets with 8 cores each.

“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.
It matters that you don't just give up.”

We'll know more when they give us die shots of Ryzen 3000, but I wonder if they stuffed all of the I/O on the side of the design so they can actually just use the exact same masks but simply not fab the part they don't need. Be interesting if there's a lot of specific design put into the dies so they can save a lot of money. Each separate design on 7nm is going to run upwards of 200m USD.

i mean the io die so its 14nm, btw they said 14nm not 16nm so its global foundries
