Posted May 6, 2018 I use the dark theme. Here, Skype, Discord, anywhere I can really. Feel like they offer more contrast than day themes, and are easier on my eyes. My screen brightness may be at 100% all the time, but having the actual site darker makes it easier to look at for long periods of time. The only system which I use a light theme on is my Windows 10 PC because I use dark accented colors and Microsoft doesn't make the taskbar color separate from the accents. Ugh. The text is too bright in relation to the background so after reading some text I get lines in my vision. Well done night themes don't use white+black, but light grey + dark grey to help tame the extreme contrast. The moment I go on Facebook after a session on the forums, my eyes immediately bleed from the contrast. Also why I don't use the dark theme in word. Page remains white for good reason. I use Dark themes everywhere possible, websites, Windows 10, Linux Distributions, etc... except macOS because the top menu bar doesn't have a shadow with the dark theme and that little detail annoys me.
