  1. Which is a big deal as it is much easier to build a solid native Sony E-Mount kit on a tighter budget right now, thanks to the flurry of third-party lens options.
  2. The a7iii is due for a replacement eventually. It is still a capable camera but the EOS R6 as of right now is definitely the more capable of the 2. The Sony is a better deal on the second-hand market, however, due to its age.
  3. I'm thinking of complementing my 50-140 with the 70-300. I love the 50-140, but I do want to go planespotting when the pandemic is all settled and done. 70-300 gives me that reach.
  4. Sony: We've launched our most advanced, feature-rich mirrorless camera to date Fujifilm: Any more sake left for us? Well, it really does look like a back-to-back special for photography enthusiasts. After Sony pulled the wraps off the a1, its most advanced and expensive model in its Alpha range to date, Fujifilm followed in the release of not one but two camera bodies alongside some new lenses, some of which were teased earlier. GFX100S X-E4 Lenses Other noteworthy announcements includes Fujifilm's firmware updates, historically dubbed "
  5. There's a 4th reason as well, and likely the main reason Sony even made this in the first place; A showcase product that houses pretty much all of Sony's best sensor and imaging technologies in a package that people can buy with the price tag to match its extreme nature.
  6. It depends on which game you are playing though. Not every game is going to run at 1080p144 on a 3060 Ti. I know because I have an overclocked 2070S and there are games that do fall short of that 144FPS mark. However, if the OP is mostly playing online multiplayer titles oriented for esports, then even a 1660 will be fine.
  7. BTW, the color space in 8K is limited to 8-bit 4:2:0 apparently 10-bit 4:2:2 is available in other recording modes
  8. For that, the upcoming GFX100S for purportedly $5999 for a 102MP digital medium format camera body is hugely appealing
  9. 3070/3060 Ti or factor in a monitor upgrade if you want/already have a 3080
  10. You can, but it is absolutely overkill for such a resolution. It's not bad or anything. It's just that you won't be utilizing all of your card's potential unless you super-sample.
  11. Which is pretty much a given because it's a Sony. xD After it gets replaced, there will be some on the used market for a bargain.
  12. This is really more of a "holy-grail" level of camera meant to showcase Sony's best tech on offer at the time of release.
