  1. Last day to get in on this keyboard giveaway. It's also been signed by @Eschew!

    Spoiler

Some ice cubes dripped onto the autograph tho, so it got erased.

    Bummer.

  2. Someone asked me why I run TimeSpy w/ HT off. I forget who or where, but I already took the screenshot so I'll post the explanation here:

TimeSpy chokes on threads, so the HT off (left) will outperform the HT on (right) when you get past 16 cores.

      Userbenchmark was right all along

No, see this is an Intel CPU and it's clearly being held back by AMD and Lisa Su somehow!

Userbenchmark is always correct though that AMD is for losers poor people😛

Oh it is MUCH worse on my 3970X lol....

yep, muh i3-10100k is better than the 3990x, take that AMD shills!

  3. Avoid the Tez cable. For 1, most complain about LED dimness even w/ normal boards, but also I have a friend who ordered one and the C connector was low quality and very loose.
  4. Migrated the 2080 Tis from my decommissioned previous main rig. They'll be folding the rest of their lives. More downtime than I expected since when I took the blocks apart I found some nickel plating issues that made quite the mess. Had the 6900XT folding in its place, but the performance per watt on that thing for folding is wildly inconsistent.
  5. Can't push this to 5.0GHz on this UPS, but still a nice improvement lol.

Huh. Never knew a UPS can change overclocking stability.

It's not that, it's the 1400 watt power draw that's sure to happen at 5.0GHz.

I'd have to move it across the house to the big boy UPSes and I'm not doing that.

1400watts, I feel bad for the VRM’s although the GPUs must be the main source of power draw, unless that is 1400w from the CPU??
The chonky-est PSU I have at home is like 500w. My damn Vaccum is a 1000w.

      Total system draw.

Here's half of a timespy run to illustrate.

  6. I meant per-game. It probably wouldn't be many. Esp since in the 8 years this forum existed it hasn't become a thing.
  7. Whoops, forgot to finish my thought. The game benchmark threads could be pinned to the PC gaming section in the same way the synthetics are pinned to their sections.
  8. There are already pins for these things at the top of their respective sections. Doesn't seem like enough to justify a whole section.
  9. You could try the AWS (Amazon) free tier. I use it for a discord bot.
  10. Cascading Moonlight has acquired a 2nd 2080 Ti.

Sorry I was trying to do a different status update

  11. Yes, that's why I said 6 or older. I just narrowed it down to 6 after realizing it didn't happen with anyone else and checked to see how recent it occurs.
