That's insanely consistent. Looks like you've cracked the stability code!

I literally do nothing to ITNOS, it runs basically Autonomously until I have to reboot it because of a power outage or Up the power target for Folding month, so I have to chalk it up to getting the same project Wu's over and over again, I cant think of any other reason I'd get within % error of the same score five days straight.

Got the babysitter running, sort of. Keep getting this error that I can't find information on,

[WinError 10053] An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine

Not sure where to start. Have Python 3.8 installed. Have tried with the firewall disabled, with no difference. HFM is working and synchronously getting data from the folding at home client.

so bender just got a supply Face lift for black friday & saw Newegg had the Seasonic 1000W PSU (Seasonic FOCUS Plus 1000 Gold SSR-1000FX) for 191.17 AFTER TAX and could not Resist Now if i was so inclined i could in theory throw 2x3080s in bender and be safe.  so now i have 2 Spare seasonic PSUS but that's ok will upgrade flexo to a 750 when he acquires the 2x2060s some time next year.

looks like i might need to download the babysitter myself, WU pool is definitely drying up, wonder whether it's because there's more 3080/90's in the pile succ'ing down work units or whether work just isn't coming in as fast now

Don't know if it's my system or what, but this error is something that does crop up from time to time.

Yup, those are what I use. The extension cables are well made. The link I sent has the different variants and you can get them with different cable lengths and orientations to suit your needs. I found ordering them direct from the manufacturer cheaper than eBay or Ali Express and they shipped them DHL and they arrived to Canada in a week. @Unileversordered the same but they took longer. Shipping from the manufacturer was expensive ($35) but I was ordering 6 so it wasn’t too bad

I eventually received my order of one of these however I managed to order the wrong one... DOH

Luckily the cable length is OK so it works nonetheless.

1st WU I crunched on the card connected to it crashed, is there something I am supposed to do, driver, software or other?

I'm on Windows.

If I can get it stable my setup is good for ~10 million PPD

Those adapters are plug and play. You may have to provide power via the ancient floppy connectors. Make sure no debris is in the connectors, and try to remove and re-add the GPU on FAH control. Could also try a reinstall of the drivers if nothing else works.

Nice! I broke mine, was away and didn't stop it after the usual 3 WUs so did 5... but I saw the result after 3 and it was 20K higher. Seems I got more WU diversity yesterday, 146k, 119k, 202k instead of the constant 182k ones that made it that stable.

guess there really is another WU shortage coming?

It should not be the adapter itself as that is a passive device that just extends the PCIe3 x4 lanes from m.2 connector to a standard PCIe2 x16 slot.

You should ensure that if you're on a Ryzen system the adapter is connected to the top m.2 connector as that one is wired to the CPU directly as opposed to any lower ones that will be off the Chipset and thus sharing the PCIe3 x4 Chipset connection with the SATA etc. If your on Intel it's off the Chipset.

I personally did not use the included SATA power adapter as when researching things discovered a host of miners having issues with cheap connectors getting hot and melting. May not be an issue with the supplied adapter but I had several 4-pin Molex to FDD adapters collected over the years from various Corsair Power Supplies that I used instead with the added bonus that these use black cabling rather than "ketchup & mustard."

Thanks for the advice. I only have a 3070 and a 2080 Super in the ITX rig. 3070 is in main PCIe and 2080 is connected via the riser cable to the NVMe slot under the board. The NVMe SSD is connected to the main slot. Should I swap SSD and riser?

Performance seems pretty good though with both cards averaging around 6-6.4 million PPD total.

Just a regular shortage of WUs error. Server has no WUs to give you at the time. But be sure to check if you have internet connection anyway, ISPNs can crap their bad sometimes.

Try it for a while the way it is then try swapping it and see if you notice a difference.

I suspect the m.2 on the underside is the one connected to the chipset (AMD CPU?) but with just a 2080 you might experience a bit (~5%) of a slowdown on Windows with that m.2 slot compared to the one on top. Likely depends on how many other things fed off the chipset are contending for the PCIe x4 link (AMD) or the DMI (Intel).

If it’s an AMD x570 chipset then the Chipset link is PCIe4 x4 and if it’s a b4/550 or x3/470 Then it’s PCIe3 x4 so you’d likely not notice any difference on a x570.
