Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

thought id try to polish out some scratches on the bike, instead i now have extremely shiny scratches ?

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

I'm looking for new hubcaps for the Corolla, since the ones one the car right now are ugly and super scratched up, and I've found 3 options that I like so far. The Corolla has 15 inch steel rims, if you guys have any suggestions. What do you think of these hubcap sets I've found?

Plain matte black, just a black version of the hubcaps currently on the car:

The scratches that my current ones have are super deep and they're also cracked in a bunch of places, so I don't think painting them would work. Otherwise I would have done that already lol

Started respraying the inside of the GT-R boot (trunk?) lid and spoiler for the R33.

Just giving it a sand in some spots, then another few layers of paint then clear coat.

Going to replace the end caps and the wing blade with carbon ones after i've got the exterior of the car resprayed.

Good point; the steelies by themselves don't look the greatest, but if I clean them up a bit they'll probably still look better than the hubcaps I have right now.

Personally, if I wanted to make the wheels look better i'd just keep saving for some second hand mags.

If you're going to spend $50 on hubcaps, you may as well save $200 for a second hand set of 16's (and a can of plastidip if you don't like the color)

You can get 4x100mm 15 inch wheels (like konig helium’s for example) for as little as $100 a pop new

then you could just move your tires over to those... don’t have to worry about buying new ones.

Second hand sure, my friend here in NZ just sold a set of GT86 wheels for NZ$200 (US$130) which fit a Corolla. Many of those Toyotas share the same bolt pattern/offset, So you are open to wheels from Corolla, GT86/BRZ, Prius, and others; and of course aftermarket multifit's. Theres also Audis, Subarus and VWs that share the same fitment.

Last night apparently my car and my metal ice scraper shovel hanging on the wall got into a fight..... The shovel won

I honestly have no idea how this happened, either a truck rumbled by and managed to shimmy the shovel loose (it was hanging by the blade) or an animal got into our garage (the house smelled like skunk minutes before the crash; the garage had been open for about an hour while I was mowing yesterday)
