The oldest Model Ms have a silver square badge, the middle(?) Ms have a grey oval badge and the newer Ms have a blue and grey oval badge. The earlier Model Ms had thick cases and thick steel plates, which got thinner over time. Cables also changed over time, but can't remember how they changed. Not really. As far as I'm aware there's not much difference between British, American and Mexican made Model Ms.

General rant about online accounts and password restrictions :P

No, just use a password manager or a password that isn't password123. Problem solved. -
General rant about online accounts and password restrictions :P
XR6 replied to papajo's topic in General Discussion
I don't know, but this doesn't annoy me. I'm bad at remembering passwords so I use a password manager. I just have to remember one master password and the password manager handles the rest. IMO this is ridiculous. Minimum requirements exist to keep your account safe, not to violate your freedoms. -

How many watts would I need for a 5600x and rx 6800xt system?
XR6 replied to GamingSeargent's topic in Power Supplies
I doubt it, usually there's very little difference, if any, so it isn't worth the extra money spent on the 750W. The PSU in OP's pcpartpicker list is fine as it is. Getting a 750W PSU will make little to no difference in everything, not just power efficiency. -
I'd recommend a 3600 instead if you can get it. If not, both are fine. I don't know exactly how well the 3500X performs but if it's similar to the 3600 I'd recommend it over the 2700X.

This is normal now. I'm in the UK, all the items I've ordered from other countries have sat in British customs for weeks, even months. Royal Mail is a mess at the moment. Items take way longer to move than they did before. Same goes for every parcel I've sent to other countries during this pandemic. Unfortunately the only thing you can do is wait, the seller can't make it go any faster and Royal Mail can't either (assuming the seller shipped using their services)

Depends on the switch. If you're comparing blue vs blue then Gateron IMO. Their switches feel better, sound better and seem to be better quality than the Outemu Blues I've used. Feel and sound are subjective though so I'd recommend trying a few keyboards first to see what kind of switches you like. I prefer Gaterons over Outemus but you may prefer Outemus over Gaterons.

(UK) Mobile Networks to be banned from selling network locked phones
XR6 replied to Oshino Shinobu's topic in Tech News
I wasn't expecting Ofcom to do this but I'm glad they have. I don't understand why other networks still lock phones, 3 have been doing this for years..
