Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

so scion being killed off, will we have the Toyota FR-S here? Or will they just change it to GT-86 like everywhere else in the world?

because honestly, I prefer the name GT-86.

Probably just badge then as GT86 because people are doing that anyways. Though oddly enough, I'm pretty sure they sell both up here in Canada.

Not production but several years ago Western Washington University built a 544cc V8 for their FSAE car.

I really wanted to purchase a 2016 chevy volt, but the dealers in Indiana don't have them. From what I read, the 2016 version is a major improvement over previous models. Does anyone have experience with the previous models, and could offer some input on if I should consider them or wait for 2017?

I love mini's! Got to ride in a car exactly like yours for autoX one day, It was sweet. Surprising how roomy they feel inside considering how small they are, I know they arent as small as the originals but they are still pretty tiny by today's standards. That thing could corner, and the supercharger whine was great lol

Yeah it's a lot of fun! I went autoX'ing in mine before, everyone was complimenting me and wanted to go for a ride.  Mine has a smaller supercharger pulley and makes about 192hp to the wheels.  The supercharger is so loud from it, and at the event i went to the final straight was like redlining third and everyone said it sounded awesome :) Its a pretty small interior compared to an old civic i have, but if i was thinner it'd be a good size.  Most of my friend are gigantic though, so they have to squeeze in. Def. the best cornering car i've owned.

Welcome! :)
Nice car and even nicer mods done to it!
I drove my sisters a few km, they are somehow feeling like a bigger Go-Kart and are able to hit 240km/h on the Autobahn :D

Sadly my feet are too big for it -.-

300hp stock... and she's still stock. I wanted to catch up on maintenance first. Only thing I have left is to do a intake cleaning with walnut blasting (It's direct injection so lots of build up i'm assuming with 97k on the clock) However I have bought the JB4 Chip for it and have changed my charge pipe from stock plastic to a Evolution Racewerks Aluminum Piping

didn't your original post about it say something about an upgraded turbo(s)?

@warmmilk sorry the mustang wont be getting the FFTec intercooler, since his has the active grill, he would have to remove it completely in order to install the intercooler and he sort of cares about mpg so... yeah..

The mishimoto was a very good implementation for his car. Not saying they are good for everything but yeah the way you installed it just made it seem factory. It was nice. Also felt like good quality over the stock one, which was terrible and felt really cheap.

its cool I guess...  the intercooler seams pretty decent based on your results

They'll go balls out with a TRD blower slapped on them. When my step dad worked that the Toyota/scooby dealer they had one of those with the blower on it come in and that thing was insane.

really?  I raced on back when my sister had an RSX-S (only mod was an intake) and they were the same speed...  that was with a fully legal an warranty'd blower, not modified or enhanced beyond TRD's specs.  The Scion is obviously a lot torquier though and doesn't need to be revved to the moon to make any power...

Yellow is necessary to squeeze a few more HP out of it.

Seriously though I like yellow. Better than a dismal grey or other dull color.

"Normandy" i7 4790K - GTX 970 - Phantom 410 (Gun metal) - Z97 Extreme4 (asrock) - 128GB Crucial SSD - 1TB WD HDD - H60 Refurb. - 7 case fans | G710+ Keyboard, G230 Headset, Acer GN246HL Monitor.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.

Won't the iA just become Toyota Yaris Sedan? Look at the Canadian site for Toyota and you'll see. Though, we don't have anything equivalent to it over here in Europe that I can think of.
