How is that legal?

It isn't, just google pentium 4 faked benchmarks and intel paying Hp and you will see what I mean. Intel did get fined for this, but only long after.

Something that happened since nvidia and ati exist, employees from both companies rotate between them... Is suddenly another hate shit topic made by our inhouse amd hater @zMeul !

I bet @zMeul pretends Roy Taylor never worked for Nvidia for a decade either. As a VP too. Anything that can remotely be used as bad PR for AMD, zMeul jumps at the chance to not only post it, but to go as far as laugh that they are having hard times. Never have i met such a biased fanboy such as him. He has truly blinded himself for no reason other than loyalty (or in this case, disdain) towards a brand.

I bet @zMeul pretends Roy Taylor never worked for Nvidia for a decade either. As a VP too. Anything that can remotely be used as bad PR for AMD, zMeul jumps at the chance to not only post it, but to go as far as laugh that they are having hard times. Never have i met such a biased fanboy such as him. He has truly blinded himself for no reason other than loyalty (or in this case, disdain) towards a brand.

The worst part is that the forum moderation allows this. They don't care if the information is wrong, or if it's completly out of context or biased, with the consequences of pages and pages of users trying to clear missinformation, and being attacked by fanboys while doing it at the cost of derailing threats for the sole purpous of brand love and ego masturbation.

Usualy when a topic is flagged as "hot" it's just from the steam of the shit all over it :/

 

It's a shame because there are great users in here as well, with great oppinions and that actually bring new insights.

It'll be enough for a while. Not every new game is going to be using the latest and greatest texture mapping or what have you.

 

Plus, you don't know what Suika will be using their GPU for, as they may not buy every single new AAA game that comes out.

I do agree that there needs to be some sorting and moderation of which threads get to stay up in the tech news section. The rules should be revisited me thinks.

Well, he isn't really breaking any of the set rules, at least none that i can name. His article includes a source and follows the news guideline. His opinion is where he laughs and mocks AMD, but it is his opinion to do so. He is only guilty of being a petty fanboy thus far.

They grow up listening to one specific genre of music, make fun of others with different tastes. Their need to belong to something, or be a part of something, far outweighs any objective or rational outlook on the situation. They fail to realize they can have their cake and eat it too. They can get the best performance per dollar without resigning themselves to be weighed down by a brand name or logo. It also free's them from having to deceive others or themselves when it comes to the facts, in an attempt to make themselves feel better. Fanboyism is very much related to Buyers Remorse. To alleviate that phenomenon, they do any and everything they can to justify their purchase. Even if it means going to war with people that disagree with their purchase, and eventually developing a blind devotion for the brand itself.

 

Oh well. I say let children play with their imaginations. As long as their imaginations stay away from the real world (specifically this news section, or any section involving giving people advice or reporting of facts) then it is fine by me. Once they cross that line, and start spreading misinformation, that is when their actions should be met with consequences.

Well there are ways of one expressing their oppinions, because most of the times I feel like this topics/posts kind of take in no consideration some of the core values of the forum:

 

  • Ensure a friendly atmosphere to our visitors and forum members.
  • Encourage responsible use of our forums and discourage activities which disrupt our community and reduce the value of our services to our visitors.
  • Encourage the freedom of expression and exchange of information in a mature and responsible manner.

 

For example, if posting in this section, at least the opening post shouldn't contain biased information. I think it's bad to give visibility to biased information just because the first guy to open the topic just happens to be a spoiled kid - and we, the community, should be the ones to filter it. I don't care about a repost if a new topic contains more valuable information then the previous one.

It should be - shit topic = deleted.

 

But all in all, I agree with you. There will always exist such people, and we will always have to deal with them. But like you said, there is a fine line between misinformation and opinions/delusions/what ever, and how people may perceive it.

Really man? Do we have to go through how the 970 works again? If the gtx 970 was using the Kepler architecture then there could only be 3 gb of vram but because of Maxwell there is 4gb or vram.

Really man? Do we have to go through how the 970 works again? If the gtx 970 was using the Kepler architecture then there could only be 3 gb of vram but because of Maxwell there is 4gb or vram.

 

If you are going to dis something, make your dis have correct information. Instead you should have said "How's your .5 gb of SLLOOOOWWWW vram?"

I would have personally gone for something about async support (or whatever that thing is haha), and maybe that was why Nvidia would want to poach staff from AMD. Perhaps they still cant get it to work properly and needed some assistance! lmao :)

AMD rises above this shit. They NEVER made a press release about Nvidia staff switching to AMD, yet it's happened HUNDREDS of times since 1997.
