Who do you think will win the Scrapyard wars?

IGetMoreAssThanAToiletSeat

I feel like luke might come out ahead. He has an r9 290, which wont do stellar because of the bottlenecking but will do ok I guess. I think it depends on the cpus, If lukes cpu is really bad then he pprobably wont win, but if they are the same level cpus or even lukes cpu is just a bit behind linus's then luke will probably win.

what do you guys think?

I believe Luke has an E8400 or something along those lines. If he can overclock it, then he's going to win. An overclocked E8400 can handle a lot.

guess either way both gpu from both sides will get a bottleneck I believe.

whoever has a better cpu to reduce the bottleneck even a little might win but both seems neck and neck.

Linus Cheats &  Will Win , But i f for some reason if Slick Wins, Linus fires him, Linus Wins.. It's a vicious circle :/

Luke to win due to the E8400 and R9 290, but Linus might win because it's Linus.

so it's: Q6600+7950 vs E8400+290

I think it's going to be a win for Luke's build because I think the benchmarks they've chosen aren't too CPU bound

Luke. I think he has a Core 2 Quad and a 290, so yeah :P

He has a C2D, Linus has the C2Q.

Luke. The R9 290 and the e8400 are good.

Yea, it's a duo but with an OC it will be nice.

Linus got a better cooler though.

System: Thinkpad T460

Luke's system will bottleneck, where Linus' computer seems more well rounded. I think Linus will win, but there might some some debate over whether Linus used his authority to get a good deal on some of his components.

Q8300 at stock bottlenecks a 750ti..

Both C2D and C2Q are going to bottleneck hard.

I think it's more of which doesn't doesn't get held back as much. Whoever can overclock the most can probably win

Yeah, it is going to be a test of which CPU will overclock higher, I still think Linus will win, an R9 290 is useless if all does is get bottlenecked.

Yeah I gotta give this one to Luke.  He definitely snagged the better deals as far as I can tell so far.

Luke - that 290 is pretty nice.

For the more crazy it sounds, I think Linus gets this one. They are going to be aiming at 1080p gaming medium, and the conclusion would be someone leaning towards the real case scenario, of a gamer that is totally broke. Overall I feel Linus' system is more balanced,  nobody is going to go all 1440p on a system this type.

If they are doing synthetics, Luke will smash Linus, but I don't think this was the point of the whole series.
