You know what a BGA rework station is and know how to use it (not holding out for the ba dum crash here).

Alternatively you have 2 soldering irons and can use them both at the same time.

When you have over 3000 posts on a tech forum....

Please. I'm on my way to 10,000.

...you can give exact product names without hesitance.

...no one ever gets your references.

...you cringe at other people's cluttered desktops, or their use of "wrong" programs (McAffee, iTunes, IE, Norton, etc.).

...you spent ALL the money you made improving your battle station the last 18 months. Oops!

Changed the title back to how I had it.

Wasn't a merger AFAIK, it was a mod changing the title of the thread(at which point I thought it had disappeared)

Mods please only edit titles or merge threads if you've read the thread and it truly makes sense, then don't do it unless necessary.

I haven't gone through the 12 pages but:

You have lots of old laptops/desktops and then combine best parts to make a super one

and it's still not as good as the gaming PC/workstation you built yourself

Follow the topics you create using the "Follow" button in the top right corner!

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

You know you're a techie when you go to help someone desperate for technological assistance and they think you're a god when you know you're absolutely nothing in comparison to a handful of random guys on youtube (and even they aren't perfect).

You know you're a techie when you buy new hardware to make your pc faster and then abuse the performance boost until it's no longer enough. Then you overclock to get more performance and once that performance is met, you up the graphics or get a 120hz monitor and realize you need more performance. So you overclock even further until you either reach your goal or realize it's time to upgrade your system again. And then the cycle repeats itself. Forever.

You know you're a techie when you go shopping for freebies like monitors, desks, ethernet and power cables at the end of driveways every March thru May. (at least me my friends have done this)

You know you're a techie when you basically treat posting at places like LTT forums like a second job.

You know you're a techie when you probably could've put a downpayment on a new car with all the shit you bought last year.

I beg to differ. I've had mods move one of my original topics I started awhile back and merge it with a completely different subject.

The titles were :" Bad names in tech" and "Tech brands to avoid" which, if read properly, meant two different things. One was genuinely awful product names (Ford Probe for example) while the other one was STAY AWAY FROM DIABLOTEK PSUS BECAUSE THOSE ARE BAD.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.

Well I am not exactly sure which it was, I assumed just a name change as it still has me as OP but I may be wrong.

The title it changed to just doesn't ask the same question.
