I pretty each will eat whatever Seafood. I personally don't agree with the whole sushi thing. I don't see an issue if sushi or raw fish in general is just something you eat on occasion. It's like rare meat (actually in Western cultures you're probably more likely to eat rare meat than sushi anyways depending on your location), just make sure it's not a daily thing. Heck who are we to judge when raw oysters are a delicacy, and that's arguably more dangerous than your standard sushi.

What is wrong with Canned Tuna? Of course I grew up eating that all my Life.

If I had the option to eat fresh fish or canned fish, I'd prefer fresh fish of course

Canned tuna texture is just too... It disintegrates in your mouth and doesn't feel great

Foods I hate are generally in that category due to the texture of the food, opposed to taste.

Seafood, however, is equally offensive, both in taste and texture. o.x

And yeah, pudding's texture also puts it into the 'nope' category.

Seafood is a mixed bag for me. Most saltwater fish I will eat as much as you plate in front of me, same with shrimp. Lobsters I don't really care for because I'm not about to crack a huge bug open, crab is about the same. I'll eat either in something, but I won't process food at my dinner table. Oysters are a no, mostly since they're almost always served raw and I don't want hepatitis. Clams, love the taste when fried but I got seriously ill on an otherwise excellent date from eating some fried clams. Tuna in water in a can, or a tuna steak are big yeses. I've not had shark, so cannot comment.

Freshwater, just about anything and everything; Bass, trout, catfish, you name it. Crawdads I see as lobster or crab, I'll eat if it's the meat in something. Alligator though, I would lay $50 on a table right now for some fried alligator...I'm almost salivating just thinking about it.

It reminds me far too much of cat food, which is disgusting and almost makes me throw up any time I have to open a can.

Why would a Can of Tuna remind you of Canned Cat Food? They do not even come close to smelling the same.

Anything that swims has no place on my plate. I would choose fish over bugs though. Maybe.

Not even Catfish? Deep Fried Breaded Catfish /w Hushpuppies are one of my Favorites Dishes I'll eat. I just wish the the Local Cafe served that more often. And Fried Okra as well.

Speaking of Fried Okra... To my Shock, Popeye's doesn't carry this Side either.

Have you ever had a pet cat before, by any chance? Because canned cat food can come pretty damn close to smelling like tuna.

Ngl makes me wanna eat it, it smells better than our canned tuna tbh

"Pet" food aside, it's still food lol, not that I'd advocate eating it.

If I was reduced to being forced to consume pet Foods, it will like be the dry version that comes in Bags. Or maybe Birdseed, especially if it comes mixed with Suet. Suet is Rendered from Beef Fat, but not the same as Tallow.

I like fish. Both as pets, and as food. Not at the same time.

Put me in the seafood loving camp. I think I like pretty much the whole gamut, some more than others. Steamed fish in Chinese cooking being on the simple end. English battered fish doesn't exactly showcase it at its best but still a great staple. Good Japanese sushi/sashimi I really love, but the uncultured town I live in doesn't do it well, just the basics which get boring fast. The US interpretation of sushi I'll eat but is not the same. Shellfish is great when fresh.

There's not much fish I view with suspicion. One I don't know the name of, but was served frequently when I previously lived in Japan. It was basically 99% bone and I don't wanna deal with that. Another is canned tuna. I do eat it, and even have some in my kitchen right now, but to me it is the lowest form of convenience fish. In a similar way I look at chicken. There is so much scope for it to be great, but also a lot of scope for it to be done badly. Thinking more, I tried jellied eels once. I don't think there'll be a 2nd time.

Especially not catfish. When I live in an apt the people under us had fishy Friday’s. It was catfish they caught in Lockport. I’ve heard it’s very oily too. Best you could get me to do is cod, not tuna anymore because Fukushima, and maybe some pickerel if it’s done nice.

Catfish may have sand grits or lots of bones.  I haven't eat any catfish since I left Florida.

There are many foods I will only tolerate and eat if they breaded and deep fried. Otherwise...

My step daughter just moved to Merritt Island about 6 months ago. While we freeze our ass off here she got stung by a jellyfish yesterday. No pee was issued though..

I read those are really painful, and are outright dangerous in the Tropics.

Breaded or battered? In fish and chips for example, it seems more traditional to bread flat fish, and batter thicker fish. If done well, I love plaice, which is a flat fish with its own distinctive flavour. Often breaded, but can be offered battered too. It's more interesting than the more generic white fish. I think cod or haddock remains popular but given overfishing concerns, there is a move to offer more types of fish under less pressure. I had to look up what pangasius was when it appeared on my former work menu once.

Edit: I just remembered Japanese fried oysters. This is in breadcrumbs. I lived off the stuff while I was over there, typically having it more than once a week. Typically served with rice, chopped greens of some kind (lettuce?) and Japanese brown sauce.

I got stabbed by a catfish's upper fin in my calf muscle due to red tide that hit Florida.  That killed a lot fish.  And I jump off my friend's boat and I had to go to ER because it was quite of a deep wound.  After that summer we move out of Florida.

I thought that Catfish is a Freshwater Fish? That must have been a large fish for it's upper(dorsal) fin to cut you.

Just how big can they get anyway? I know that there Multiple Species of this Fish, I have heard that they can get large enough to swallow a person alive.

However the biggest one I have seen was like 20 to 30 Pounds. The Person who caught it show his Prize to my Granddad and my Great Granddad Whom I was visiting at the time. Before I only seen ~5 ones.

Bayou Salt/Fresh Water mix

The fish was dead and I jump into the water and it's dorsal fin stab me in the calf muscle and I was in pain.  I guess the way I landed in the water.  The fish somehow manage to stab me.  But the fish wasn't big at all.  I didn't touch it so I swam back into the boat look at my calf muscle and I saw a hole that was bleeding and we left the bayou to go the boat dry dock and my parents took me to the ER.
