Swallowtail

Am i the only one who feels like that case is so ugly and hideous and so out of place for that kind of build?

I mean look at this lol.

I fully agree, but I also think it’s exactly the point.  It was a fantastic choice for a ridiculous build. The case was absurd overkill.  The whole point.

ive had thoughts about doing art cases myself.  I was trained as a sculptor once long ago.  Mine usually involve copper trees.  Hollow copper trees with wicking filled with low pressure air/distilled water and built as heat pipes.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

It looks exactly perfect for this build, i don’t understand your point of view here.

I don’t like the case or the RGB so IMO they go well together.

~5K for the case.

No paper manual.

Seems legit.

Also ~20k for a build, uses RGB...extensively.

Well it was named “the compensator”

I think it was more of a the things so god damn heavy, that your never gonna be able to move it

not only is there a heavy ass case, but there’s a whole system, with two GPUs and “custom water cooling” sooooo

AMD blackout rig

cpu: ryzen 5 3600 @4.4ghz @1.35v

gpu: rx5700xt 2200mhz

ram: vengeance lpx c15 3200mhz

This is the cruel trick I think.  The thief attempts to lift it an herniates himself on the carpeting.  He’s groaning curled up in agony when the cops show.

The case grew on me quite a lot while they were building in it if I'm honest. I'm not usually a massive fan of things with those sorts of aesthetics either.

Personally for overkill I would have used Corsair 1000D Where you can setup a 2nd system integrated. This would allow there to be another top end gaming system if you have a friend over just to style on him/her. While you sit there with your monstrosity and when someone comes over for a lan you can be like "MUhahahaha your pc is nothing to even the 2nd pc in my tower". Of you could use it as a dedicated streaming pc built into your computer so when your styling with your duel 2080ti's/rtx titans you dont take any power away from your main machine and let the 2nd computer do the work. It can also be setup as a build in nas where you can place a few 4tb ssd drives so not only does your main machine use ONLY nvme drives like a baller but your tower has a storage computer built in where it can have multiple TB of storage. that to me is more overkill then going for a more exotic case. I wish caselabs was still around as they had the best overkill cases.

Sort of like the case, it's on the right track for an ott build.

If I was doing a money no object build I'd look to get a case designed with inspiration from Zaha Hadid. Not sure it would be much different to that, but it might have more concrete.

There are 360 degrees, so why stick to one? - Zaha Hadid

It's solid aluminum IIRC, I'd be worried about the clumsy person, not the case.

It was a 20k build.  A 1%er machine. Almost no one could afford such a thing

Seems like they tried to desperately shoehorn in a computer element into a sculpture. Doesn't really match up well aesthetically.

I dunno.  Depends on how you think about it.  It’s arguably barely a sculpture.  Just a box that has been twisted and torn a bit.

True but i think the thief would die from lifting the case as it would just crush him if it fell on you. imagine if it fell on your toes! would crush them like hay!

Id kind of like to know the total weight of that thing. They made it SEEM like it was 500 lbs, but they may just be wimps too lol ;) Also Id like to get a real good look at the thing up close to see how things like cable management actually came out, I cant imagine that was easy to accomplish on that.

Found a case similar to this on a super sketchy site that I like to go to to test security programs I make. I won't post the link here because it lit up Bitdefender like police arriving at a ASU frat party and it's against the forum rules. The description says it's made out of glass with ivory inlays. Ivory is illegal internationally, so you wouldn't be able to order it anyway. It looked nice, though, I'd replace the inlays with something a little more moral.
