Random File Taking up 35GB

Seosamh_101

Hi everyone,

I have this file in AppData Local Temp. It is called R8a23596, and it takes up 35GB on my drive. Any idea what it is? Windows Defender and Malwarebytes haven't detected it as anything when I scanned it. Can I just delete it? The file extension is just ".file".

Thanks for any help in advance!

everything in temp is disposable, just delete it

if it comes back maybe start looking into what causes it, but windows in general does a lot of stupid stuff with file space

Some app created that and never removed it. It can be deleted manually, nothing in temp is needed long-term

RPCS3 has such a bug... but yeah without knowing the app who knows really

op could check timestamps to figure it out maybe...  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
