DBrand unveils Tesla Cybertruck skins

Amongst the slew of Black Friday deals (... errr, is it Black Week at this point?), techie-approved gadget vinyl-skin and accessory maker, dBrand, has quietly listed preorders for its customization for the latest of electric vehicles from maniac Elon Musk; the Cybertruck. DBrand's site now lists 3M vinyl wraps for all the bare metal body panels of the futuristic hauling machine, and the wraps are available in the site's standard assortment of styles, textures and colors. In typical dBrand fashion, the site is full of satire about the controversial shape of Musk's truck, poking fun at its angular appearance and suggesting that the designers used only "a pencil and ruler" (dBrand).

Is this purely an Elon-fuled marketing stunt, or is the site serious about its hefty pricetag of $3094.80 to fully cover your Cyberpunk-mean-machine? Only time will tell whether the Prism screen-turned window protectors will stop a bullet from peircing your Cybertruck windows... but one thing's for sure: an all Zebra-wood skinned vehicle is sure to attract some attention from even the most tech-exposed Silicon Valley residents.

Because regular vinyl wraps are for poor people.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Given how hard it can be to stick things to Stainless Steel, there's likely to be a lot of bad wraps to happen to the Cybertruck. Which should just make for more hilarious YT videos.

I would need to check in with the Plastidip segment, but I believe that won't stick well either. I have a feeling what people will probably end up doing is using some sort of extra top coat that will stick, then layering over that.

Yes, I forgot to mention that tidbit, but then again it's a fun easter egg to find.

These sound like regular vinyl wraps. Just really really expensive ones.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

since when is it hard to wrap stainless steel?

Ive use the cheap amazon wrap on stainless steel dozens of times with no issues.

I have a 5ft stainless steel table from work i wrapped in chalk vinyl and put in the workshop and its been fine for about 6 months now.

IMO, that's a DRASTIC improvement over the actual CT. (the bottom one, if you are unsure)

Thanks, good to know

One thing I did notice at the tesla unveil is the thing had no plastics at all.  Plastics can change the look of a vehicle drastically.

This truck serves no purpose.

Regular cybertruck is fine.

This is why I’m saying plastics.  With bolt on plastics everything can be optional.

I like that one a lot - but that is very different market than what the CT is targeted at, which seems to be Preppers...
