I feel a video explaining what linux is and why people may choose to use it would be helpful. I recently switched (because of win10 privacy concerns) and find it a little difficult to explain to parents.

Importance of replacing the router your ISP gives you - I always wished that Tek Syndicate did this as this is more up their alley but if Tech Quickie did do a video on it it would make it really shareable and make it easier to explain to my parents why the Comcast router is absolutely garbage @nicklmg, @LinusTech

A video on:

  1. Diskless clients (or boot over ethernet).
  2. Voltage regulation, to tie in with Skylake's voltage regulation being on the mobo.
  3. M.2 SSD formats.

Quick question. now at 41 pages when will this stop being the "temporary thread" for Tech Quickie videos?

System CPU : Ryzen 9 5950 doing whatever PBO lets it. Motherboard : Asus B550 Wifi II RAM 80GB 3600 CL 18 2x 32GB 2x 8GB GPUs Vega 56 & Tesla M40 Corsair 4000D Storage: many and varied small (512GB-1TB) SSD + 5TB WD Green PSU 1000W EVGA GOLD

You can trust me, I'm from the Internet.

Rootkits

I see the term thrown around a lot but all I know is that it's just a form of malware, that's it.

Edit: YAY it became a video :D

HBM memory vs standard GDDR5

people too often still compare the two directly, "4gbs of hbm < 6gbs of gddr5 for 4k gaming!" when in reality hbm performs so vastly different from gddr5, that direct comparisons like that are meaningless.

A video on PC diagnostics/hardware damage would be nice. Like a guide on "How to check used components before buying them."
