Damn I got it wrong again ☹️

Don't worry, it's my fault, because publicly, I've said sep or oct, when I mean't oct or nov.

with that said, I have corrected that in our little group chat ;)

We are looking to run a test for prizes and are needing to give away a fiver(or lowest value amazon giftcard) in a currency that is not GBP through amazon to ensure it works. If you live outside the UK can you please contact me, First come, first served.

This is a one time offer for the first person that get in contact.

There is no need to return the money in any way, the only entry requirements is that you live in a country that is served by amazon(and have an amazon account) that is not the UK.

Think we've got it all sorted now guys

this is what it looks like when your main F@H server goes offline and you don't realise untill many hours later. :(

Sure is. Had that happen a about a month ago when of the fans on my GPU decided to take a break and the thing thermally throttled. Points fell off a cliff! What happened with yours?

to be honest i'm not even sure. nothing in event logs suggest an error of some kind.

about 12 hours ago it just decided to reboot? and if that happens, i have some automation in place to have it start F@H again aswell, but it seems that failed too.

There's a heatwave going on here now, so maybe something on the motherboard just hit thermal limit and it forced a shutdown? grasping at straws here tho.

Maybe? I imagine it doesn't usually run too awful hot though, right? All the cooling fans, etc seem to be fine? What OS is that server running?

well, it's not entirely a normal server. airflow is pretty low when compared to normal server fans. never had issues before tough. running CentOS.

welp, i set fanspeed about 10% higher on all fans in the system, even the PSU fan, and so far it hasn't crapped out on me again.

temps are also a good 5 degrees lower on the 2080Ti in there, which is always nice. this thing was made for silence tough and now it's definitely audible.

Had to take my main rig offline today, approaching 40C is not what you need in a bedroom, especially with this damn humidity.

I am so fortunate compared to some of you!  I have a level entry home, and our main living area is the upper floor.  Our central air keeps the upper floor at ~23c.  That means my nerd cave on the ground floor is usually ~15c, allowing my system to run nice and cool!  And it get to 40c here during the summer, but not all that often. Also fortunately, I live in a semi arid climate, so our humidity levels are pretty low.

I'm trying to fine turn my fan curve in Afterburner, instead for moving the little dots around with the mouse is there a way I can type in the temp and % number I want ? ie. is there a data file somewhere I can just change the numbers ?

Not as far as I know. Also why would you want that? It's so much easier this way, and you can add as many dots as you want.
