Hi guys,

I decided to start folding yesterday to contribute to something useful with my new build. This was a good reason to finally join the forum, so hello and greetings from Germany!

@Favebook over at F@H discord team recruiting you forgot to tell them about 2020 month folding event so I did it.

Heheh, didn't want to push it too far. And get their hopes up since it will not be one for few more months.

churns out a respecable 480k. not actually bad considering how old it is and how cheap it was to pick up

that's honestly insane! that's just a bit less than the 500K average i got on a reference 1070.

In all seriousness though, they did do a call out to folks to use nvidia stuff to fold, so setting up gforce now to have GPUs that aren't in use by the service to fold would be awesome and do a similar sort of drastic spike, even if limiting number of ramped up GPUs per box for heat management efficiency purposes.

anyone else get a massive unexplainable points boost?

It also affected everyone I think, it is an issue with the FAH server end?

Probably a points correction, they happen from time to time when a server didn't report the correct QRB point value.

With that said, I haven't received any extra points!

I noticed the same thing. 30 WU in 3 hrs? I don't think so. LOL.

Yeah, I had a huge dump this morning. I think maybe a stats server was running behind or there was a points correction. Because of the WU count and score I would assume it is CPU WU's.

Still must be a server related thing. The added WU, credit, and users all happened during the same 3 hour period. There's no way my little machines went through 30 WU in that period.

This feels like a stats / WU processing server may have been offline for awhile and they just processed a backlog of WU data.

The WU count is very often completely bonkers for me on EOC. Like I do 2 WUs, and then the stats show those plus a random block of 500 points and 25 WUs...
