Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

And people when focused on getting power also happen to delete the DPF and cats and the lot. Also happens that they don't tune the cars well because for them, making smoke is the shit.

Its quite a conundrum, for power you need more fuel. But more fuel means more soot. You either cut back power or install bigger turbo.... Even old not tuned diesel engines will release lots of soot when they get a hefty load at the end of the crankshaft....

Thoughts on the Lotus Emira?

I think it’s a great replacement for the Evora — which was always meant to be lotus’ do everything car not just a track focused car

and it looks awesome. I’d be scared to hit the front splitter on stuff though everyday lol

Ran into some stranger from LTT(Brian) at a car meet. Couldn’t get him to stop touching my wires in my Crown Majesta for some reason (jk) lol. Real cool dude imo, has a vary insightful knowledge about cars and not just classic computer systems.

There's a decent amount of tailight options for 98-05 beetles but almost nothing for headlights.

Taillight

I'm a slut for anything sequential

Headlight

These say they're specific to EU, so I dont think I can use them here

I bought this sight unseen btw. It’s perfect except for some rock chips Up front, and a cracked fog light also a Piece of plastic trim above the back window is loose.

goes down the road smooth and quiet, no clunks. Engine sounds great and everything looks normal. I think I lucked out lol

Wrong. The Touareg, Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne share a platform, the Golf on the other hand isn't part of that platform. It would be accurate if it were a Tiguan, but unfortunately it isn't.

Granted, it at least resembles a really big golf xD

also I can tell people I bought a poor mans cayenne I guess lol

I know that this is a joke, yeah, but based on how much bad is being said about German cars in this thread, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually thought that.

And y'all with the US-produced cars and their QC failures should be used to having things that are somehow flawed. 🤔
