Software for making SBS 3D videos

I am searching for a good software for converting 2D videos to side-by-side 3D for viewing on a DLP-Link projector.

My video editor (NCH VideoPad) has a 3D export option, but it does not properly stretch the video vertically. So, though the 3D effect does work, the video is squished and does not look particularly good.

Alternatively, is there a software that can convert 2D to SBS in real-time? 

I'd prefer a free software but absolutely understand if a paid option is better. I would like to avoid online converters and subscription-based services.

Any help would be appreciated!
